[News]: Martin Gore aka MG will release 12 inch with remixes in May

Martin Gore – new single with remixes in May

News Text:
A few week ago Depeche Mode member Martin L. Gore posted the tag “#MGxMG” and a picture (see our news about that here).

It was the first step of the promotion for his upcoming album “MG”, that will be released on Mute at the end of April (for album details including video of first single “Europa Hymn” click here).

There will be also a 12″ with 4 remixes in May. One remix will be made by Diamond Version, who were on tour with Depeche Mode and got remixed by Martin Gore (details here) and another one by Vince Clarke (made one for Depeche Mode, the band he co-founded with Mart and Fletch, and was Martin’s partner in the VCMG project).

The third remix will come from Soft Moon, who also joined Depeche Mode for a few gigs on the last tour. Soft Moon just released nice album called “Deeper” (details). The fourth and last remix is another quality techno remix by Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann who also created two fantastic remixes for Laibach’s just released remix album “Spectremix“.

Update 2nd April 2015: April Fool! Unfortunately this is not true – as far as we know at the moment. We guess that Mute and MG are already thinking about remixes and a vinyl release because it makes sense for such kind of music to have it. So be sure to check our blog from time to time to be well-informed about Mute stuff.

Update 10th June 2015: Yeah we were not wrong at all. Mute and MG just released a remix of “Europa Hymn” made by Andy Stott. see details here.

Update 21st July2015: Mhh. They can hear us. Now they will release 4 remixes … on vinyl and download. see details here.

[News]: Martin Gore releases solo album under MG on Mute

Martin Gore – solo album?

News Text:
A few days ago Depeche Mode member Martin L. Gore posted a strange info (or better no info) on Facebook yesterday. There was only the picture below and the tag “#MGxMG” …

Having the name VCMG in mind (VCMG = Vince Clarke + Martin Gore) the fans assumed very fast that there will be an annnouncement of a solo album soon.

A second posting by Martin Gore showed another picture (see below). You can read some interesting things on these plates: “For Big Life Management” (Dave Bascombe’s Management, “Mastered by Stefan Bethke” (well-known as musician Pole), “Art direction and design by Martin Gore”.

And now we got the final news… Martin Gore will release a solo album under his acronym MG on Mute with catalogue number STUMM381. The album will also be called “MG” and contains 16 instrumentals. It will be out on 27th April.

Having it in his thoughts for some time, particularly since he has been writing instrumentals for Depeche Mode since 1981, he wanted to keep “the music very electronic, very filmic and give it an almost sci-fi like quality. Music is a necessity for me. I go into the studio at least 5 days a week, every week, so once I had the idea and the template, the process was quick and fun.”

So it is a soundtrack to an emotional and mysterious film of your own design.

To get an idea how the album will sound like, Mute just uploaded the first track “Europa Hymn” for your pleasure.

They also announced the full track listing of the upcoming album: “Pinking” , “Swanning”, “Exalt”, “Elk” , “Brink”, “Europa Hymn”, “Creeper”, “Spiral”, “Stealth”, “Hum”, “Islet”, “Crowly”, “Trysting”, “Southerly”, “Featherlight” and “Blade”.

Please check here for all details about the album.

[News]: We collaborate with Elektrotribe label and interviewed Moog Conspiracy

NovaFuture Blog collaborate with Elektrotribe for tour diary + Interview with Moog Conspiracy

Info:
To celebrate 8th Birthday of the Elektrotribe label, they are kicking off a Europe tour, called Infinite, in cooperation with Diazprod Agency and NovaFuture Blog.

The main idea behind the tour is to promote quality techno, they put pressure on first class live-acts, headliners who are rather acclaimed producers than commercially promoted names, and a strong presence of our own acts, of course.

The name Infinite comes with extended, long DJ sets, VJ od 3D Mapping set up, and, when the location allows it, our specialty – smart techno live acts.

They want to put the emphasis on music again. They want the clubbing experience to be a bit more than just showing up to a fancy party and drinking overpriced drinks. It’s about getting lost in the music, it’s about experiencing something special and authentic.

They do it with passion and engagement, they do it with friends and only with the artists that truly inspire them. The tour is about sharing what drives them with the crowd.

It’s about true and deep love for techno music.

We will have selected sets recorded during this birthday tour. To kick off the collaboration between NovaFuture Blog and Elektrotribe, we did an interview with label head Moog Conspiracy. Read the interview here.
