The Violent Youth are a german/russian Synth Pop duo from Augsburg, Germany, consisting of Arthur Tsymbal (Vocal, Synthesizers) and Egor Ivakhnenko (Synthesizer).They construct melancholic 1980s-inspired synth-pop music.2014 released their first Album “Loud” and played their first Liveshows in Belarus und Russia.With their second Album – Discotheque, TVY changed their sound. The sound got darker, the lyrics deeper. After “Discotheque” was released, TVY played at the one of the biggest Belarusian musicfestivals “FSP” und the first European live shows in Germany and Belgium.With their new album “Distant” The Violent Youth are going to play their first big European tour to show a brand new analogue sound in their music together with the lyric themes from love to politics.

Starting this gloomy and cold season, Crave Tapes is back with another tape release.

We’re delighted to welcome Sugar Rody to the label family, the Tallinn based multitalent and big fan of the 80 & 90s era debuting with The Night EP.

The story start with the title song itself „The Night“, which is simply about being happy on your own and having a blast in nightlife.

„Voron“ is a shoutout to Brandon Lee’s character Eric Draven from the movie „The Crow“. A romantic vice in the night, appearing somewhere with a person, pushing to get into her heart but nothing happens. You get pushed away and left in coldness and ice.

The other two songs, „La Glace“ and „Uletayu“ continuing the story, about getting freezed being the crow of the night. Realizing that all is fucked up and you need to change your life, so you fly away from everything to nowhere and disappear into the darkness.
