After these short facts please tell us something about the club and its history. What’s the philosophy behind? The idea? Which styles can your visitors celebrate here?
Music connects people: At Geheimclub it does not matter who you are, where you come from, who or how you love, who or what you believe and what you do outside of the club. Music brings people of different characters to a common denominator and connects them to one big family. It applies the principle: Anyone who does not look for stress and provocation, respects and tolerates his counterpart, is neither sexist, homophobic, stigmatized, violent or otherwise decent, comes in. Simple as that.

We are playing strictly techno and house!

Short introduction of the residents
Nicolas Lendkrais‘s musical roots are way back in the 90’s, first in love with trance. “One day, there will be a club, where I will be resident with full heart” – luckily it became the Geheimclub. His sets are sometimes driving, sometimes spherical with some surprises in form of some nice, old not – techno tracks. Facebook | Soundcloud

Magnus‘s first tries as a Dj were in 2014 for some private parties, since 2017 he is resident Dj at Geheimclub, playing dark and industrial techno with some EBM touch sometimes. First he started working as a lightjockey in a big room disco. Facebook | Soundcloud

DXTN is Dj since 1996 and learned the basics at a Dj learn group. He started producing in 1999 and stopped it then, but plays some of his tracks back from these days. He is the CEO of the club and is known for his insane mixing skills, even with 4 vinyl players. He started with Gabber and Schranz in his early days. Facebook | Soundcloud

Dynamic Perceptions was born in the Harz in Germany. In the beginning of his DJ career he played artists like Faithless or Benny Benassi but since 2002 he’s developed an interest in electronic music and started visiting underground raves and festivals. It was 2007 when he began spinning vinyl on his own and the first party followed soon. With the wish to develop further he moved to Magdeburg to a little crew where he learned to organize parties and experienced a lot of new electronic music. His love for music was growing steadily and in 2016 he joined Geheimclub Magdeburg as a Techno and as a house Dj. Sometimes his music is slamming, sometimes more playful, but always worth a journey. Facebook | Soundcloud

Pernox is new to the business and started together with r:brockwell in 2017. Since then he became Resident of the club really fast. He is playing fast and hard, sometimes, especially for openings, more dub and atmospheric stuff. He is the booking agent of the club, together with r:brockwell Facebook | Soundcloud

Deguchi, formerly known as r:brockwell, found his love for fast driving techno becoming more and more influenced by Dax J. He is also into EBM and more spherical sides of techno and likes to play a lot of styles in his sets. Hearing techno since he was 15 years old, he started 9 years later his career in 2017 and became resident at the club together with Pernox. He is also doing the booking for the Club. Facebook | Soundcloud

Jan Goertz is Dj since 2013, and started producing 2014. Since 2017 he is resident at Geheimclub Magdeburg. His style is influenced by people like DVS1 or Nihad Tule. He started with some little parties, thrown by some friends and himself in Magdeburg. Facebook | Soundcloud

sa.mu is a Dj since 2014 and became resident of the club in 2017. His style combines different genres like Deeptech, tech-house, dub-techno and house. He started as a KaB resident and organized underground raves with the Ennea crew. Since 2016 he is part of the Deep Dive group. Facebook | Soundcloud

Niklas Albrecht is a young house Dj at Geheimclub and started his fresh career at 2017. Since then he became an important part of the house section of the club. Facebook | Soundcloud

[NovaFuture Blog Exclusive Mix]: Black Mirror Park plays Boston 168

DJ:
Black Mirror Park

About the concept:
Here is the forty-eighth instalment of our series “abc plays xyz”.

The idea behind it is to ask some DJs/mixing artists if they have an artist or label in mind that they love and would like to use for a mix.

So the approach of each mix is clear: the choosen DJ/mixing artist makes a selection of tracks produced by one artist (and her/his monikers) or released on a label (and its sublabels) and creates a nice mix from it.

Find links to all instalments at our overview. Today we present you Black Mirror Park’s mix of tracks produced & remixed by Boston 168.

About Black Mirror Park:
Black Mirror Park started playing records a few years ago and quickly founded the Sonntagsinstitut Collective as a platform for him and his friends. After three intense years and various events at venues such as Mensch Meier, ://about.blank and Arena Club, they’ve decided to slow down a bit. So here he is with lots of time to shop for new records and play a few intimate gigs, which is frankly all he could wish for at the moment.

About Boston 168:
Along a surface, within the empty silence of an abandoned setting, the factory noises still echo: in the beginning was the production line, then the working class of the consumer society, lastly machines and robotics as workforce. So in those factory cities, in Michigan as in UK and in the Italian motown Turin, the industrial plants have been occupied by the rave subcultures, the mechanical noise replaced by the sound of techno. Now the plants have become sound venues, and getting involved with techno can be seen as a search for a meaning for the kids who grew up in that industrial setting. In Turin, industrial and musical manufacturing city, Boston 168 is born, formed by Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca, an analogic duo that through sound production aims to redefine a peculiar field of the electronic sound, Acid Techno. Boston 168 is a laboratory of sound crafting: Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca are two electronic researchers, who have spent years working on vivisecting sound in order to create new solutions for the techno substance. In 2010 the two young producers co-found Old and Young label: a combination of the experience of Gambo with their fresh point of view in order to redefine the basis of techno. The two young producers start working on their live set: as a result, they irradiate with cosmic warmth the dawns in warehouses, ex-industries and clubs, taking their audience on techno voyages at traditional speed, looking for new gravity spaces and sound blackholes. Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca’s meticolous work mixes up the acoustics of the traditional machines which made the history of techno, Roland Tr909, tr707, Moog Mother 32 and other technological hardware. The feedback of the international techno community is huge: Boston 168 publish on different labels such as Enemy, Involve, Oddeven, their live showcase travels to France, Italy and around the Europe. Oblivion EP, Black Hole EP have a huge outburst on Decks.de and stay at first place on Beatport’s techno chart for weeks, the tracks Terror Acid and Acid Morning are played at Berghain. Boston 168 is working on the new EP on Attic Music, the Italian techno label curated by Fabrizio Lapiana. Two scientists and a live set for a new dawn of Acid Techno.

Black Mirror Park About His Choice:
I love 303-based music in all forms and shapes, be it Electro, Acid House or Oldschool Techno. For me, Boston 168 have been the vanguard of the 21st century acid renaissance in the field of Deep Techno. Since their perfect „Black Hole EP“ on Involve back in 2015, I have been admiring their consistency in quality and soundscape. Even if I have to admit that the spectrum of their sound is rather narrow, for me, this is no drawback. Focusing on a certain aspect of Techno and developing a unique expression in this field is what I call aspiration. Boston 168 are one of the very few artists of whom I could blindly buy any new release without being disappointed.

Tracklist:
01. Boston 168 – Nightcall (Instrumental)
02. Boston 168 – Seven Heads
03. Boston 168 – Cosmic Radiation
04. Exilles – XY (Boston168 Remix)
05. Boston 168 – Until The End
06. Boston 168 – Rise Again

[NovaFuture Blog Exclusive Mix]: The Czap plays CLR

DJ:
The Czap

About the concept:
Here is the forty-sixth instalment of our series “abc plays xyz”.

Today we present you The Czap’s mix of tracks released on CLR.

About The Czap:
In 1999, at the peak time of the German techno culture, a Polish born guy named Artur Czabainka aka the CZAP entered the dancefloors of clubs in Frankfurt area like Palazzo, Dorian Gray and U60311 and was immediately flashed by the sound so he spent most of his spare time in these clubs and became a regular.

Inspired by the loop techno of Carl Cox and others he decided to become a DJ too, to spin the records he loved. So he bought much vinyls as possible, stuff by Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Dj Rush, The Advent, Speedy J, Steve Rachmad etc.

After playing at some gigs in small clubs around Koblenz you heard the name The Czap more and more often so he got the attention of bigger clubs. At least after winning a slot at Nature One in 2003 it was impossible to stop him.

So he got a residency at S38 Koblenz and appeared from time to time in venues like Tresor in Berlin or Elektroküche in Cologne.

At the same his desire to improve himself grew so he integrated digital players after playing with up to 3 turntables plus effect sampler.

In 2007, after a 3 years break caused by his daily job, he conquered the booths of Tresor and U again. Nowadays he is resident of clubs like U60311 (Frankfurt am Main), Unter Tage (Koblenz), Über Tage (Koblenz) etc.

About CLR:
Chris Liebing is a Techno pioneer, dj, producer, CLR podcast host, radio host and the driving force behind CLR. He has been one of the first djs who fully embraced the digital age of music. Since then he has never stopped working on his dj and production setup’s and has finally reached a point of complete satisfaction with his technical and artistic possibilities.
