Press Info:
Lisbon’s DJ Dextro returns to Chris Liebing’s CLR with the ‘Age of Aquarius’ EP, marking his third EP for the label, set for release 28th August 2026.

DJ Dextro’s ‘Age of Aquarius’ EP kicks off with the absorbing ‘Sempre os Mesmos’, opening up with impossibly tight, taught kick drums and sleek, howling bass. The precise, mechanical rhythm comes alive with freaky sound effects, soft hi-hats, and various warped, fizzing stabs that bring tension and a freaky, alien character. ‘Conjectura’ is another brilliantly deep and heavy Techno roller with sonar pulses and loopy synth motifs that all serve to hypnotise mind and body, while ‘Os Vendidos’ sweeps with bass and another precision-engineered rhythm that is sleek, futuristic and absorbingly dark. This beautiful bleak vision of a post-human world closes with the buoyant Techno of ‘Age of Aquarius’, which is imbued with a subtle sense of hope and euphoria that gets you on your toes.

DJ Dextro is one of the architects of European Techno. He has held several vital residences across the last three decades, all while turning out meticulously crafted deep, dark but warm Techno for the likes of CLR, Second State, Planet Rhythm, Terminal M, and his own Codein Music. His sound is focused on rhythm and groove, with a touch of old school but plenty of evocative, cinematic designs that make it as appealing to the head as it is to the body, once more on full display with the ‘Age of Aquarius’ EP for Chris Liebing’s essential label.

Founded by influential Techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like DEAS, Shlomi Aber, Risa Taniguchi, Truncate, and more, while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene such as The Southern and Klint.

Eye C

Press Info:
American DJ, producer, and Ovum label boss Josh Wink remixes Chris Liebing’s ‘Eye C’ via CLR on 25th September 2026, one of the standout tracks from Liebing’s first fully solo-produced LP, ‘Evolver’, which landed in March. The album featured collaborations with the likes of Luke Slater, Charlotte de Witte, and Daniel Miller, with Josh Wink the latest to rework material from the project. The Philadelphian is an electronic music veteran who has shaped countless releases on his own Ovum, while also remixing the likes of Depeche Mode, Moby, and Radiohead.

Josh Wink showcases his production skills once again with a blistering take on Chris Liebing’s ‘Eye C’, rewriting it with fizzing synth modulations and prickly acid lines. The track grows in intensity as rumbling drums march on, and the synths become ever wilder before pulling back into a deep, atmospheric groove, rebuilding beneath the menacing vocals and icy, incendiary hi-hats.

The original version of Chris Liebing’s ‘Eye C’ is a deep, rolling techno masterclass with pulsing synths and deft percussion peeling away from the groove. It’s linear and heady, perfect for the small hours, with unsettling vocal fragments refracted around the mix and subtle hypnotism floating overhead as the drums grow ever harder.

Press Info:
Tokyo-based producer and DJ Risa Taniguchi returns to Chris Liebing’s CLR with the ‘Magnetic’ EP, landing 26th June 2026. She has released four EPs for the label, alongside releases on labels such as MOOD, Second State and more, and has won support from artists including Amelie Lens, Perc, and Daniel Avery.

Risa Taniguchi’s ‘Magnetic’ EP opens with the title, riding on thumping kicks, distant bell tones, and cavernous sub-bass that gives the groove its full weight. Carefully sculpted details, from groaning textures to dusty hi-hats, add depth throughout as the track unfolds into a driving and cinematic techno workout. ‘Masks’ keeps the pressure high with a more extroverted energy, layering hammering percussion, fractured synth lines, and vocal yelps into an urgent peak-time cut charged with tension and momentum.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, Shlomi Aber, and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene, such as The Southern, and Klint.

Press Info:
Terence Fixmer Reimagines Chris Liebing & Luke Slater’s ‘Double Split’ for CLR. Fixmer’s remixes of Liebing/Slater’s collaboration from the former’s ‘Evolver’ LP release on 31st July.

Terence Fixmer has delivered two remixes of Chris Liebing and Luke Slater’s ‘Double Split’ track, one of a handful of collaborations on Liebing’s first-ever solo LP, ‘Evolver’, which was released in March this year. Having contributed to the LP as a member of The Alte Stuben Modular Ensemble, a super-group featuring Liebing, Daniel Miller, and Pascal Gabriel, Fixmer is a fitting choice to remix ‘Double Split’.

Fixmer has been evolving his sound for more than 25 years. From deep and mind-bending to experimental and soulful, he is a visionary who has been hugely prolific, with many standout LPs and EPs on labels such as Mute Records, Novamute, Ostgut Ton, and Planete Rouge Records.

Fixmer’s first ‘Double Split’ remix is inspired by the energy of the original, but focused on dubbier, hypnotic vibes. Strident drums and clattering percussion are stark by design, but smoky vocals and eerie synths hang in the air, bringing a bleak human futurism over all-consuming bass. Then comes the Melting Mind rework, which is boiled down to a handful of key elements, not least the original’s penetrating acid line. It’s an immersive, late-night dive that locks you in a state of constant motion and unrelenting pressure. The original from Chris Liebing and Luke Slater, a dark and futuristic roller with automated drums and layers of rusty synths encircled by acidic gurgles, completes the package.

Higher Things EP

Label:

Cat#:

Release Date:

Tracklist:

Higher Things
(FJAAK Remix)

B.
Higher Things

Press Info:
Following the release of Chris Liebing’s ‘Evolver’ album this spring, German duo FJAAK rework ‘Higher Things’ which appeared on the full-length, releasing via CLR on 29th May 2026. Long established as a formidable force within Techno, FJAAK are known for crafting high-impact, floor-focused tracks, often via their self-titled imprint, with the Berlin artists now joining a star-studded cast on Chris Liebing’s latest LP, including photographer and film director Anton Corbijn on photography, and collaborations with Charlotte de Witte, Luke Slater, The Advent, Speedy J, Terence Fixmer, Pascal Gabriel, and Daniel Miller.

Their remix reshapes ‘Higher Things’ around a rattling dub techno framework, where molten chords soften the weight of mechanical kicks while resonant stabs and swelling textures steadily intensify. The result is a hypnotic yet forceful reimagining, balancing atmospheric depth with anthemic, warehouse-ready pressure.

The original version of Chris Liebing’s ‘Higher Things’ appears on his debut solo LP, ‘Evolver’, released 27th March 2026 on CLR. Marking a distillation of over three decades at Techno’s core, the album pairs introspective depth with immediate, floor-driven impact, bringing together contributions from the likes of Luke Slater, Charlotte de Witte, Speedy J and The Advent, while ultimately remaining rooted in Liebing’s singular vision, channeling the raw, industrial energy of classic club spaces into a refined, forward-facing long player.
