The third and final part of the “waldgeschichten” 12inch series highlights and expands upon pole´s distinctive sound, connecting to the first two parts of the trilogy in a charming way. Again a fundamental element is the very specific drum sound embedded in complex dubby structures, seamlessly unified with the warm and deep basslines.

If you have had the pleasure of listening to one of pole´s live concerts recently, then you will immediately recognize the “lurch” and “moos”.

After the stripped down second part of the trilogy, with its wintery atmosphere, these tracks appear to be floating in melancholy. The field recordings and sounds fade away into echoes, grounded with massive bass.

This is a perfect conclusion to the series, offering a foretaste of the upcoming pole album.

Der dritte und letzte Teil der „waldgeschichten“ – Reihe knüft nahtlos an die für Stefan Betke typische Klangästhetik an und verbindet sich charmant mit den ersten beiden Teile der Trilogie. Tragendes Element ist auch hier der sehr eigene tonale Drumsound, welcher sich, eingebettet in die komplexen dubbigen Soundstrukturen, untrennbar mit den wohlig warmen und tiefen Bässen verbindet.

Wer pole in den letzten Monaten auf einem seiner zahlreichen Konzerte hören konnte, wird die beiden Tracks dieser 12inch „lurch“ und „moos“ sicherlich sofort wiedererkennen.

Nach dem stark reduzierten und etwas winterlich kühl und distanziert klingenden zweiten Teil der Trilogy wirken „lurch“ und „moos“ mit ihren fein gesetzten Melodieteilen schwebend melancholisch. Die Fieldrecordings und Klänge verhallen im Echochamber, geerdet durch massive Bässe.

Ein schöner Abschluss dieser Reihe, der einen Vorgeschmack auf das kommende Album gibt.

SUICIDE CIRCUS RECORDS is a new label connected to the Berlin Club Suicide Circus. The label represents the club in all its musical facettes, ranging from house and tech house to techno and all its derivates.

MATHIAS SCHAFFHÄUSER is a regular guest at our club. With Nuevo Romance he has
delivered a funky theme for the late night romantics.
FALKO BROCKSIEPER, also a regular guest gives us something For The Birds, a classical house piece with beautiful chords. BENI is one of our resident djs, a true school tech head. His track Growth displays well his approach to the dancefloor: dark and functional.ich auch. Last but not least D_FUNC. vs MARIO BERGER show off with a strong techno tool. D_Func. is ALEXANDER KOWALSKI’s alias for his raw techno output and despite of the raw apporach to this dancefloor monster you can well feel his professionality in production.
