Three tracks from gloomy core to cozy glory, Resilience Interlude is a journey through carefully crafted ambiences. ‘Darkness’ opens the EP with a polytemporal conversation between dark arpeggios and a biting drum beat. ‘Resilience’ delivers a charged atmosphere into which an ominous bell slowly melts down. Drums make a comeback in ‘Lightness’, this time offering a hopeful contrast. Arpeggio voices unfold at different tempi, once again highlighting the artist’s taste for rhythmic experimentation.

MSKD, also active as Ghost Effects, is a young French DJ and producer now based in Berlin, who runs his own imprints Diligences Records and MSKDR.

We have been following and supporting his career for a long time and are very happy to welcome him now to NovaFuture Recordings – after previous releases on Jaelos, COUP, Maison Close Records and being featured on Amelie Lens’ Fabric London mix.

His track “Entropy And Versatile” expertly mixes dancefloor-ready broken-up kick patterns with melancholic, detailed atmospheres. A sharp, trance-sounding lead synth, drenched in reverb, pushes the track forward. “Entropy And Versatile” reads as a culmination of MSKD’s previous works, continuing his exploration of classic techno influences.

The track will be released digitally in Mid April and as part of NovaFuture Recordings’ next vinyl sampler “We Are Flying High” due to release in June 2022.

With Dreamscape, Nicolas Bougaïeff adds a new entry to his backlog release series on Denkfabrik. In this three-track EP, written and produced in 2014, he explores evocative melodic soundscapes. The record also features early experiments with rhythm, as notes move off the grid and back in a gentle rubato. The warm tone of a Minimoog provides the main voice throughout. Surrounded in opener ‘Descent’ by a deep pulse and delicate bells, it later takes center stage in ‘Aria’ as a concise and emotional solo. Melodies evolve with a hint of chromaticism in the title track to close the record on a moving cinematic note.
