Press Info:
Berlin based trio Dina Summer, the new wave/electronic project of duo Local Suicide and Kalipo, returns this summer with their new single ‘Alien’; a tightly spun 80s influenced dance track with otherworldly vibes. The single follows on from their acclaimed 2022 album ‘Rimini’ (Audiolith Records) – a nostalgic journey through retro disco sounds – 2021 EP ‘Who Am I’ and 2024 EP Hide & Seek (Iptamenos Discos), as well as a participation in Curses’ Next Wave Acid Punx Compilation on Eskimo Recordings.

With online streams into the millions and airplay across German radio (including a Hot Rotation on Berlin’s Radio Eins), Dina Summer’s music has been featured on Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists and been spun live by DJs such as Charlotte De Witte, The Hacker, Curses, Joris Voorn, Joyce Muniz & Dubfire. Previous releases have been featured in music press including RA, Groove, Kulturnews, Spiegel Online, Musikexpress, Mixmag, Tsugi and FAZE, who declared the group one of the most promising German electronic acts to watch. Their live sets have been equally successful, selling out concert halls all over Europe and performing at international festivals throughout 2023 & 2024.

New single ‘Alien’ sees Dina Summer delve further into minimal wave territory, stripping back a synth-driven dancefloor arrangement to emphasise its pulsating bassline and otherworldly vocals. The track, which draws inspiration from electronic music pioneers such as Kraftwerk, captures a range of retro-futuristic sounds – indicative of the way in which this artist moves flexibly between past and future. Exploring the idea of “other” through an extraterrestrial narrative, the song is a tribute to outsiders and “freaks” and serves as a metaphor for acceptance, openness and communication.

Press Info:
Berlin legends, T.Raumschmiere and Housemeister, have teamed up for their new release, ‘Samstag Nacht’, under their new collaborative project, T.Raumhouse. This new artistic duo stems from a friendship that spiralled over decades. They toured together from the 2000s and now aim to bring the 2000s nightlife back to Berlin. This new release encapsulates the 2000s through pulsating basslines, unearthly percussive samples, and signature vocoder vocals. ‘Samstag Nacht’ feels like a combination of retro, and spacey futuristic electro. The drums are gritty, and an element of underground punk lies within the track as the pace builds throughout. Supporting the track, is a new music video, also written and produced by T.Raumhouse, which features Joy Tyson, Livia Etelka & Rafi Sinn.

One half of T.Raumhouse is T.Raumschmiere originally hailing from Heidelberg, Germany. He moved to Berlin in 1998, where he renamed himself after a list of William S. Burrough characters and began to take the Berlin electronic music scene by storm after drumming in various bands in his home town. His releases consist of a range of genres from punk, electronic, and rock ‘n’ roll to minimalistic and ambient. The artistic journey of T.Raumschmiere is vast and stems from all areas in life, which makes it difficult to pin him down to one style! His iconic track, ‘Monstertruckdriver’, which was released on NovaMute in 2003, took off and established him as one of the key figures of the early 2000s Electroclash scene. Currently he keeps himself busy with his bands Margot Erkner and st.raumen.

The other half of T.Raumhouse is the German producer, DJ & label owner, Housemeister, who moved to Berlin at a young age, and witnessed the rise of the techno industry throughout reunification. He produced over 50 vinyl releases and eight albums under a range of iconic labels such as Detroit Underground, Boysnoize Records, BPitch Control, and his own, AYCB. On top of producing and running a label, Housemeister also toured the world, playing his music in over 50 countries. Authenticity is a characteristic which comes with the work of Housemeister; his tracks possess flair and energy, rarely following guidelines.

After possessing an array of gritty, hardcore, and bustling dancefloors in and around Berlin throughout the ‘90s, Housemeister is currently working on his new album which will be released in September 2024.

‘Samstag Nacht’ will be released under the label Iptamenos Discos who compliment the artistic duo of T.Raumhouse’s through creativity, authenticity and inventiveness. The label, Iptamenos Discos, have been running since 2021 and were founded by the berlin-based duo Local Suicide. The labels music ranges between genres such as New Wave, dark disco, EBM, and techno, and examples of their releases fall under artists such as Boys’ Short, Dina Summer, Curses, Skelesys and Wiener Planquadrat.

Press Info:
Embark on a sonic odyssey as Iptamenos Discos presents a thrilling fusion of sound by label heads Local Suicide and Velax. Their EP casts a shadowy, atmospheric spell, blending industrial, electro, dark disco, and techno elements into a mesmerizing tapestry of sound.

The collaboration blossomed when the Berlin based Greco-German DJ duo, Local Suicide, crossed paths with Velax during his sojourn in Mexico City. Hailing from the frigid city of Surgut in Russia, Velax brings a narrative from the existential realm, having crafted music under various aliases for nearly a decade. Fatigued by the dichotomy of truth and falsehood, good and evil, Velax transcended to a metaphysical plane to weave his tales. Meanwhile, Local Suicide’s distinctive blend of dark disco, new wave, EBM, and techno serves as the perfect complement to Velax’s vision. This EP also boasts high class remixes from the esteemed French icon, Arnaud Rebotini, and the visionary Mexican artist, Andre VII.

The journey commences with “Keep Driving”, a hypnotic track charged with tension and dark undertones. It engulfs you in a dystopian cityscape, cloaked in fog, with imposing metallic structures looming overhead.

“Feel Inclined” pulsates with kinetic energy, driven by a punchy bassline that propels the track forward. Its breakdown descends into a whirlwind of synths, evoking a sense of chaos and disorientation before the percussion reignites the groove.

“Unorthodox Orthodox” adopts a slower pace, allowing the punchy kick and snare to dominate. Metallic synths create a hypnotic ambiance, blurring the line between the familiar and the alien.

Andre VII is a prominent figure in the Mexican electronic music landscape, recognized for his imprint Platino Records, for running the renowned club Bar Oriente in Mexico City and curating Sonar Festival in Mexico. His remix of “Toro” by El Columpio Asesino has gained widespread acclaim over the past year and has graced prominent stages, championed by techno heavyweights like I Hate Models, Amelie Lens and Regal. Equally remarkable is his reinterpretation of “Moustache”, Local Suicide & Skelesys’ hit featured on Local Suicide’s debut album “Eros Anikate”. With his take on “Keep Driving”, Andre VII injects his signature flair, constructing an irresistible, danceable groove accentuated by deft vocal chops and propulsive percussion.

Arnaud Rebotini is a multifaceted talent hailing from France, excelling as an author, composer, performer, and producer, with notable recognition as a co-founder of the Electroclash ensemble, Black Strobe. Beyond his extensive discography, Rebotini has garnered acclaim for his contributions to award-winning film scores and his enthralling live performances. His take on “Unorthodox Orthodox” infuses the track with breakbeats, warm bass tones, vocoded vocals, and futuristic synths, creating an ethereal transmission evoking the sensation of tuning into an otherworldly radio station.

Don’t miss the release of the “Unorthodox Orthodox” EP, set to coincide with the opening of Rough Trade EU Store in Berlin on April 20th, 2024 (Record Store Day). Available on all digital/streaming platforms and 12” vinyl, this EP promises an unforgettable auditory journey.

Note: The “Andre VII Remix” is also known as “Club Edit” or “Andre VII Club Edit”

Press Info:
Dina Summer, the collaborative band project between Kalipo and duo Local Suicide, invites you to indulge in the excess, glamour, and magic of the 80s with their new ‘Hide & Seek’ EP on Iptamenos Discos. Featuring a blend of new wave, dark disco and EBM fuelled techno, the EP embraces the nostalgic synth filled sound of the past whilst bringing a modern touch.

The EP kicks off with ‘Unter Strom’, which features a dramatic opening that inspires visions of a night sky soaked in neon light. The energy slowly builds until the drums burst onto the scene and you feel at home within the beat. A euphoric melody and captivating vocals perfectly embody the ecstatic feeling of a full dance floor and is setting the tone for what’s to come.

Following the gripping beginning, we move into the title song ‘Hide & Seek’ – a soaring track which brings a sense of freedom. Shining and ’80s reminiscent, it is a radiant and romantic love letter to disco balls, laser beams, smoke machines and hazy dreams. A blissful and invigorating spirit pulses through the song which elicits the feeling that you are floating up into the air, breaking through a sea of grey clouds to reveal the sunshine beyond.

‘All Or Nothing’ is a grungy dancefloor stomper with commanding vocals and a forceful kick and snare which unite to create a relentless and powerful sound. The assertive lyrics and intense electrifying atmosphere will be sure to have everyone’s fists pumping in the air.

‘Excess’ takes us deeper. Dripping with texture and allure – the track is a lavish, swirling pool of synths and seductive vocals. Its indulgent bassline guides us through a dynamic night-time landscape, leading us into the EP’s finale.

Last but not least, the EP also features a club edit of ‘Hide & Seek’, which gives the track an entirely different feel. The same lyrics now have a newfound sense of urgency. It’s darker and biting – a thrilling counterpart to the original version.

Impassioned and electric from start to finish, ‘Hide & Seek’ EP is an impressive addition to the Dina Summer and Iptamenos Discos catalogue. Releasing on February 23rd, 2024 it will be available on 12” vinyl and all digital & streaming platforms.

Press Info:
Swiss duo Psycho Weazel are back on Iptamenos Discos, this time with their very own EP ‘Mains d’argile’ which has a range of sounds from new wave, indie dance, italo disco and house and features Curses, Local Suicide, as well as remixes from Marvin & Guy and Rafael Cerato.

The duo’s musical love story began at summer camp, where the two Swiss born musicians shared their playlists with one another. Sharing playlists led to sharing dreams, and so Psycho Weazel was born. A retro-futuristic electronic spectacle, their music blends indie-dance, cold wave and EBM. From their studio on the shore of Lake Neuchâtel, they have created an impressive catalogue of elegant and joyful dance music. Such infectious tracks can be heard lighting up dancefloors across the globe – ‘Mains d’argile’ will be no exception.

The EP opens with title track ‘Mains d’argile’, which features New York born, Berlin based artist Curses, who is hot off the heels of the Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX compilation he curated. Psycho Weazel describe the single: ‘a hymn to disappearance that turns into medicine for damaged partygoers’. The track is certainly godly with its transcendent intro – long, echoing and expansive, it sprays the listener with melancholic dew and then drops into somewhere present, with tight drums and a strong synth melody, guided by Curses’ haunting vocal. Layers of sounds that are both grounded and soaring, bridging the gap between heaven and earth. The track ends with a wailing lead guitar, whose tone embodies a sense of longing and escapism.

Moving into ‘Matra Murena’, a 4×4 dance floor scorcher inspired by the car of the same name. Made with motor sounds, the nighttime track is filled with metallic textures. 80s reminiscent powerful synths and snappy drums propel the track forward in a continual state of motion. A perfect marriage of Psycho Weazel’s ethereal elegance with Local Suicide’s alluring darkness. The end of the track breaks into a solo of motor sounds that is ear-pricking and truly unique.

Iconic Italian duo and self proclaimed ‘Space Cowboys’ Marvin & Guy provide a more stripped back danceable house remix of ‘Mains D’argile’. A deep bassline in combination with acid sounds and a sprinkling of vocals from the original creates a relentless funky groove, which will work just as well at 3pm as at 3am.

Rafael Cerato’s remix of ‘Matra Murena’ sheds new light on the track. A swirling big room version with added layers and lyrical focus. He beefs up the percussion, crafts a more theatrical feeling within the vocals and creates a dramatic buildup in the middle of the song which is followed by a drop, which unleashes an explosion of sound and energy.

Sonically and emotionally thrilling, this a-class collaboration double-A-side EP is another exciting addition to Iptamenos Discos’ catalogue. The ‘Mains d’argile’ EP will release on January 26th, 2024 on all digital/streaming platforms, and on 12” vinyl.
