Press Info:
Returning to Bpitch for his second solo EP, Crystal Geometry lines up a powerful package of kaleidoscopic electronics.

Having built a distinct aesthetic with an analog modular synth at its core, Maxime Fabre’s Crystal Geometry alias is an ever-evolving project that explores the meeting points of post-punk and metal with industrial techno and warehouse music, nodding to the energy of 90s rave culture and the unrestrained catharsis of noise. Also key to his practice are the use of live vocals, which burn and dissolve their way throughout the release, from death metal screams to disorienting spoken word.

On Antithèse, four different patterns carefully expand around marching kick drums of varying intensities. ‘FCKTHNZS’ layers hypnotic guitar strings over powerful drums and leads them forward with unrelenting screams – a pure sonic purge. ‘Désordres’ features circular arpeggios that ebb and flow through different keys whilst an anti-authoritative voice layers distorted lyrics over the top. ‘Creepy Body’ is straight up EBM / industrial mania with precisely engineered percussion and a relentless pace. Rounding things off, ‘Golpe De Estado’ is an uncanny trip through sheets of spoken word and sound design that weave in between each other to dizzying effect.

Merging sonic aspects from his previous releases, as well as a various techniques from live improvisation, Antithèse is a distillation of subcultural spirit into new found energies.

Press Info:
BPitch present the next iteration of their WE ARE NOT ALONE compilation series – a diverse package of sounds reflecting the spirit of the WE ARE NOT ALONE parties, and offering a glimpse into a community of artists that have committed themselves to the underground.

Touching on a wide range of genres whilst never losing sight of the dancefloor, WE ARE NOT ALONE pt.8 offers twelve essential cuts for DJs, ravers, and music heads alike. Tying the threads between genres, and with the mark of quality expected from the Berlin label, this new compilation documents the next chapter in its ever-growing contribution to the culture.

Returning to the label appearances on both BPitch and its accompanying label UFO Inc. – Turin-based duo Boston 168 open the club doors with a masterful fusion of trance build-ups and stripped back pointillism on ‘Feeling You’. Another member of the BPitch roster having just released an EP on the label, Tigerhead steps up with heavy kickdrums and uncanny pads on the aptly-titled ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’. Stepping into more minimal territory, Sina XX – founding member of the Paris rave collective Subtyl – offers a warm, bouncing cut that teeters between the dark and euphoric with a masterful balance. Taking a swift 180 into the darkest industrial spaces, Endlec serves up a gritty percussive workout on the formidable ‘Panther’.

Theo Nasa – a South London-based purveyor of weird, melodramatic techno – moves into hazier spaces on ‘Sex and Acid Pleasure’, an eccentric dose of acid for the senses. Shaleen – a resident of the WE ARE NOT ALONE event series – continues into the warmth with a headspin of analogue sounds and modular experimentalism with ‘Vernalagnia’. Öspiel, the French-Korean producer and label head known for his cinematic sounds weaves together angular rhythms underpinned by a strong sense of minimalism. In hot pursuit, Puglia’s Raho comes through with a cyclone of bouncing kicks and harsh leads.

Diana May, a Berlin-staple and resident at KitKat offers us a welcoming spiral on ‘Just Shut The F*** Up’. Plunging into deep industrial caverns, [KRTM] ’s ‘Küss Mich Jetzt’ is a pounding glitch of hardcore techno for the biggest speakers. VUUDUU’s ‘SNAXX’ shifts the speed up a gear with an expansive gothic rave banger. Rounding things off is madwoman’s ‘Chaos Theory’, a sparse but unrelenting cut of atmospheric techno from deep inside a warehouse.

WE ARE NOT ALONE pt.8 shows the label have no plans on lowering the heat in 2024, with another round of pure hedonism for the ages.

Press Info:
Returning for the seventh edition of the beloved WE ARE NOT ALONE compilation series, Ellen Allien and BPitch Berlin curate an unmissable collection of twelve new tracks celebrating the global underground that has influenced the label since its inception. Due out in May, it is to be followed by two further installments landing later this year.

With the announcement of this ambitious new compilation, BPitch continue to expand on their limitless roster, providing a reflection of the artists who have been involved in the WE ARE NOT ALONE event series from across the world. These events put a kaleidoscopic lens to electronic music from all over, championing a vision of culture that is far-reaching and inclusive in both spirit and sound. With contributions from rising talents and established heroes alike, WE ARE NOT ALONE Vol. 7 is a testament to the pluralism of one of electronic music’s most beloved record labels, and the family of artists that make it what it is.

Opening the proceedings is label founder Ellen Allien with ‘Kyiv’ – a brand new cut that weaves a vast pool of sonic references for the power hour. There are touches of acid, dub, breaks, and trance, but genre titles become futile when it’s ultimately a sound completely her own. Next up is a slice of the Stockholm underground with Andree Bohlin and Billie Jo teaming up for a high speed journey through big beats and hammerdrill piano licks. Warsaw- born producer Sept then provides some maximal trance for the weirder hours.

DJ Physical applies a romantic vision of techno, drenched in melancholy and geared towards the senses on the seductive ‘Scary Night’. WTCHCRFT brings us into murkier analogue territory with ‘Unusual Photograph’, a fusion of chopped vocals and hard-edged percussive loops from the New York underground fixture. Slowing things down a touch, the legendary Rhys Fulber of Front Line Assembly offers up a chugging, cyclical dose of arpeggiated industrialism.

Naix – also known as revered Scottish electro maestro Galaxian – takes a chainsaw to the production booth on the searing ‘Current-Gen’. Berlin’s own Lucinee lifts things up to the skies with a glistening cut of trance radiation, before REÄKTTOR, hailing from Colombia, presents a darkened dose of cybergoth realness on the weighty ‘Il Oscuro’.

Ayako Mori and Raul Alvarez plunge straight back into a cavernous warehouse with ‘Departure To (360 mix)’, Lady Maru – a Berlin resident with a background as a guitarist, noise musician and more – puts together a no-nonsense barrage of hard techno on ‘Don’t Cross The Line’. Rounding off the compilation is Under Black Helmet’s ‘Stargazer’, a levitational voyage into a different dimension.

Just as the WE ARE NOT ALONE event series connects the dots between a sprawling and passionate network of countercultural misfits, their compilation series offers a snapshot into the true underground of electronic music today.

Press Info:
Arriving for her BPitch debut is the Berlin-born artist, producer and live act Sue Lèwig offering up a radiant three-track EP, aptly entitled Sol.

With a profoundly physical connection to music, she aims to stir up and break new ground. Full of power, rebellious and passionate, she triggers emotion and strives for a feeling of social togetherness and freedom.
The result on this debut for BPitch is a high-octane package of fast, impeccably produced techno imbued with an undeniable warmth and physicality for the senses.

‘Astron’ sets the scene with a speedy barrage of kick drums and uncanny vocal chops that gradually descend further in complexity with masterfully produced rhythm patterns taking the lead.
Next up is ‘Drake’, a charged-up spiral of driven beats. Guided by menacing vocals from another world and face-melting distortions, both floaty and fiery in equal measure.
Rounding off the proceedings is the title track ‘Sol’, a stripped back bassy techno workout lifted by dreamlike pads and vocals that teeter between sung melodies and spoken word, calling to mind a resistant, rebellious, passionate spirit that underpins all her work.
Sol builds a clear aesthetic statement from an artist refining her sound, carefully fusing references to form an EP that is intuitive in its aims and precise in its execution.
