Front Left represents a very special corner in a very special spot on this planet. Every week the front left people gather together to celebrate techno music.

Techno is what brings us together and what makes us family to one another. We rejoice listening to it, produce it, talk about it, share it and mainly dance to it.

It is incredible how one physical spot creates so such magic and human connection.

This label brings the productions of the front left people to the world.

In the first release, you will find Elad Magdasi, a heavy dancer and an emotional producer. His productions are wide-ranged and loaded with a true rave spirit, combining an acid-line treatment and his melodic point of view. In the last two years Elad’s productions turned to the techno side, and now he feels it’s time to finally let his music out. Gathering knowledge and figuring out his style brought him to this point. His love for raving is what keeps his mojo going and brings the inspiration to his life.

Joining the first release is Matrixxman (Charlie Duff), the talented producer who’s been shaking dance floor with his hit “Protocol” for already 2 years and now releasing his debut album on Ghostly. Not surprisingly, the connection between Elad and Matrixxman was also formed on the Front Left.

The first release combines a slick collection of sounds.

Listen to the intense, pulsing remix of the new electronic Martin Gore track ‘Pinking’, taken from his critically acclaimed solo project MG and remixed by Swedish producer, DJ and musician, Christoffer Berg.

‘Pinking’ is one of the many highlights on Gore’s evocative 16-track electronic instrumental album, MG, which is out now on Mute. The album is creates an absorbing and emotional sonic landscape, and was described by VICE as “a textural, complicated album”. Explaining the appeal of a purely instrumental record, Martin says, “I am aware of the power of pure music and the emotions that can be created by musical atmospheres and that is what I wanted to capture with this project.”

Christoffer Berg is well known for his programming work, perhaps most notably on Depeche Mode’s 2013 album ‘Delta Machine’, where he worked closely with Martin, exploring his vast selection of vintage synthesizers and gear. Christoffer also remixed the VCMG track ‘Aftermaths’.

Note: it is part of the remix EP (see link below) so this release was removed from the stores.

Having just premiered her first ever live set at various festivals Steffi revisits her Power Of Anonymity album with three completely new versions of “JBW25” by Further Reductions and Answer Code Request.

Brooklyn-based duo Further Reductions left a big impression on Steffi with their 2014 Woodwork LP on Cititrax. Now Shawn O’Sullivan and Katie Rose turned “JBW25” upside down and inside out. The original version’s hypnotic synth bleeps are still there, but rhythm-wise Further Reductions live up to their name: Their version is a stone-cold and arhythmic interpretation of “JBW25” with additional vocals, pushed to the absolute fringes of dancefloor compatibility.

Berghain resident Answer Code Request contributes two versions to this release: While his “Vision” adds a tough drum beat, percussion and a stronger focus on the Ambient textures of the original, his “Revision” is more break-heavy, melodic and dreamy while setting a darker tone and mood overall.

With the original version and its Techno and Electro drive this 12“ comes full circle – a good fit for record bags travelling to various party settings and moods.

Das in Brooklyn lebende Duo Further Reductions hat mit der Woodwork-LP (Cititrax, 2014) großen Eindruck bei Steffi hinterlassen. „JBW25“ haben Shawn O’Sullivan und Katie Rose nun auf Links gedreht und auf den Kopf gestellt. Die hypnotischen Synth- Bleeps des Originals sind immer noch da, aber in Sachen Rhythmus werden Further Reductions ihrem Namen gerecht: „JBW25“ klingt mit den ergänzenden Vocals arrhythmisch, eiskalt und hart an der Grenze zur Tanzflächenkompatibilität.

Berghain-Resident Answer Code Request steuert zwei Versionen bei: Fügt seine „Vision“ einen schweren Drumbeat, Perkussion und einen stärkeren Fokus auf die Ambient-Texturen des Originals hinzu, ist die „Revision“ breaklastig, melodisch, träumerisch geraten und setzt zugleich eine dunklere Klangfarbe und Stimmung.
