Techno maestro Oliver Deutschmann makes a thundering return with a fresh batch of tracks on ‘made of CONCRETE’ aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Named after some of the most infamous queer/gay/fetish events, the release channels their unique ambiance, which are some of the artist’s favourites.

‘P#rnceptual’ heralds punchy drums atop a relentless bassline, as the producer manages to use a limited amount of elements to create a spellbinding groove that will captivate any crowd.

Bade records founders Brothers Black add their own interpretation of the track, adding cavernous drums and amplifying its late night allure. Named after Berghain’s well known ‘Snax’ party, the eponymous track is a slice of spaced out, wormhole-inducing techno with its spiralling synths and almost imperceptible breaks. Of the four tracks, ‘Verboten’ carries the most understated raw potential with its subdued pads, making it a very effective slow paced burner.

Oliver Deutschmann is not only a regular DJ at Berghain and many other of the world’s leading underground venues, he clearly spends a lot of time in the studio.

As a result, he’s one of our scene’s most prolific producers and can look back at a huge catalogue on labels like Mote Evolver, Hotflush and many more.

Oliver’s also been a longtime friend of OFF Recordings, and now present his debut EP on our label.

The two originals are captivating pieces of minimalistic techno, stripped back drums meet memorable synth themes, to create two timeless pieces of quality techno.

With Opal and Jamaica Suk we have 2 of Berlin’s most promising emerging DJ-producers on remix duties.

Opal is a regular not only in legendary clubs like Khidi and Griessmühle, but also recently released a killer EP on Regal’s Involve Records.

Jamaica Suk is a resident at Berlin’s infamous Pornceptual series, and plays all over europe and beyond, including some of the world’s leading clubs and festivals like MELT, Tresor, and many others.

Both their remixes transform Plant Division into harder forms, perfect for the peaktimes.

A name familiar to Hidden Recordings, France based JC Laurent returns for the fourth time with Distressed World. As with each release, expectations are high and the young Frenchman impresses with his latest body of work. He delivers three original tracks inspired by the current state of global affairs: underlying tension, shifts in mood with the need for a steady hand.

JC’s profile continues to rise as well with his newly minted DJ residency at Kwartz Club in Nice, France. Over the course of his nights there, titled ‘JC Laurent Invites’ he has shared the stage with artists such as Jay Clarke, Ryan James Ford, Shlomo, AWB, Adriana Lopez, Oliver Deutschmann and Deepak Sharma.

Accompanying the release on remix duty is Berlin’s Oliver Deutschmann, well-respected for his diverse track selections and varied soundscape, his recent discography includes a 2018 release on Luke Slater’s imprint, Mote Evolver. Showcasing his broad palate of sound, he is only a handful of talents who has DJ’d both Berghain and Panorama Bar over the last 10 years.
