Introduction:
This is a special about Einstürzende Neubauten … a German industrial band which was originally formed in West Berlin, 1980.

Famous members and former members are Blixa Bargeld, Alexander Hacke, N.U. Unruh, Gudrun Gut, F.M. Einheit etc.

The band is well-known for the “use of custom-built instruments, predominantly made out of scrap metal and building tools, and noises, in addition to standard musical instruments” (wikipedia).

In 2014 they released the new album “Lament”, which deals with stories about the World War I one hundred years after its outbreak.

Notes:
Kevin Paschold grew up in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Germany – Thuringia, in a small town called Sonneberg which is famous for toy making.

There he started with friends a project called “the29nov” – organising events and playing music. Later he moved to the creative melting point Berlin to start making videos for techno tracks with his schoolmate Sebastian Kökow.

So they became the very well-known duo “the29nov films” which is nowadays respected in the techno scene – from fans, artists and label owners.

Our special today shows you some music videos by the29nov films for tracks that were produced by Kevin Paschold himself.

Looper is a Scottish indie-pop band, fronted by Stuart David, former Belle and Sebastian bassist.

Looper released 3 albums: “Up A Tree” (Jeepster, 1999), “The Geometrid” (Jeepster, 2000)” and “The Snare” (Mute, 2002). In 2013 it was announced that Looper and Mute are working on boxset and Stuart David is also writing material for a new album.

Recoil is a musical project created by former Depeche Mode member Alan Wilder. Essentially a solo venture, Recoil began whilst Wilder was still in Depeche Mode as an outlet for his experimental, less pop-oriented compositions. Once he announced his departure from the group in 1995, Recoil was transformed from a small side-project into Wilder’s primary musical enterprise.

Videos were created for different albums on Mute except “Inheritance” which is taken from “Spirit of Talk Talk”, a tribtue album to Talk Talk.
