Press Info:
From Another Mind founders Obscure Shape & SHDW return to Rekids with three massive techno tracks in ‘Der Sturm EP’ this October.

Marco Bläsi and Luigi Urban first appeared on Matt Edwards’ label two years ago with an unforgettable remix of Radio Slave’s ‘Vision’. Since then the pair have continued to helm their From Another Mind imprint, as well as returning to Rekids for their ‘Himmel Und Erde’ release, not to mention remix the seminal ‘Grindhouse’ alongside Slam. Joining the label again, the duo present three cavernous cuts highlighting why they’re considered such a key driving force behind Southern Germany’s techno scene.

Featuring their signature echoing kicks, ‘Der Sturm’ includes syncopated snares, scintillating pads and piercing stabs to forge a peaktime cut. ‘Zeit Des Erwachens’ is more of a roller with its undulating percussion and quivering bassline, leading into the effervescent ‘Tränen Der Sonne’ with its twisted arpeggios and rattling hats.

Press Info:
Rekids regular Markus Suckut drops his third album entitled ‘Heaven Is A State Of Mind’ this September.

“This album is dedicated to my mother – I will always carry you with me to show you the world. See you again in a better place.”

When not helming his own imprints, SCKT and Pattern Research, the Düsseldorf artist has been releasing on Rekids since 2015 and is now a core member of the label’s family. Earlier this year saw the arrival of ‘New Life EP’, a mesmerising release exemplary of the producer’s knack for making imaginative house and techno complete with a compelling groove. No stranger to the long player format having released two albums previously, Markus Suckut returns to Radio Slave’s label with a quality eleven track album.

From the word go Suckut’s album demonstrates his versatility as a musician, initiating with a beatless intro named ‘Escape’, before ‘Breeze’ comes into play with its skipping percussion and loopy atmospherics. Crunchy snares and crystalline synths make up ‘Sun’s Out’ whilst ‘Future Is Not Always Bright’ drives forward with its sultry low-end, ethereal pads and sci-fi bleeps, leading into ‘Take A Break’ and its medley of elaborate drums, living up to its name.

‘Above The Clouds’ is comprised of intricate notes and soothing chords whilst the machinelike ‘Orchid’ features electro inspired melodies, contrasting to the album’s title track, ‘Heaven Is A State Of Mind’, with its bumpy bass and warping textures. ‘Wonderland (Version)’ is a ghostly acid cut, moving into the syncopated and ominous ‘We Will All Disappear One Day’ and its purring bassline until a moody two-step number entitled ‘Death Is Not Final’ ties it all together with twisted sequences and trippy effects.

Eclipse
(PVS Remix)

Press Info:
Counterweight welcomes to the label the rising Berlin artist Opål with this excellent 4-Track full of Techno EP.

The title track, Luminescence, is a rough and hard hitting 4/4 warehouse destroyer. “Impala” reduces the tension and shows a more melodic side of the artist but still keeping his characteristic industrial touch. On the B side Opål shows what is the definition of “driving” Techno with “Eclipse”, this is simply amazing. The last track is an absolutely outstanding remix by the Italian artist PVS, who explores new atmospheric shapes and goes beyond simple 4/4 structures.

Pump up the volume, this is real shit!

Colliding Worlds

Press Info:
Dold arrives on Blue Hour Music

The Swedish producer, real name Patrik Eriksson, will debut on Luke Standing’s Blue Hour Music outlet in mid October this year – the first new artist to be invited onto the growing platform.

In recent years, Standing has carefully expanded his label to include not only a vast catalogue of original music, but a high profile remix series – and more recently collaborative work as Tracing Xircles.

Dold’s arrival marks the 11th release from the label, and the young Swedish talent – who runs his own imprint Arsenik alongside fellow producer Kuf, offers up a stunning collection of dance floor recordings that zero in perfectly on the label’s raison d’être.

Express Route is the result of several weeks of close dialogue between artist & label – with the end product finalised alongside Standing in his Berlin studio. A captivating, Breakbeat driven exploration of retro-futuristic dance music, the recordings fit neatly into the label’s well defined aesthetic – paying homage to the rich lineage of pan-European dance music, whilst maintaining a sharp, contemporary edge.

Opener Horizons sets the tone for the work, with emotive synth strings set amongst rolling sequences and high-energy drum programming, whilst Express Route is a perfect example of fast-forward loop Techno. Memories taps neatly into the producer’s penchant for Hardcore – riffing on vintage Rave stabs with a decidedly modern bent. Colliding Worlds ties up the EP, a glorious up-tempo nod to classic IDM & Electro.

Mature and excellently produced, Dold’s arrival on Blue Hour Music marks a considerable step forward in the label’s development, a fine example of form & function that looks forward within the genre – whilst maintaining that particular approach to production that has bound the label’s discography so well thus far.

Chrondrite
(Noneoftheabove Remix)

Press Info:
For the 8th release of Instinkt, we chose the Dutch artist Aert, which will be officially released on the 3th of October. This time, Aert gave us 4 powerful and carefully tracks, each developing a different feeling. As a results, Aert signed an EP between deconstructed rhythms and more clubbing 4-4 beats, all in dark atmosphere, provided by synths line. The EP comes with a 5th track, a remix from Noneoftheabove, founder of TARO Records, who gave a more punchy version of Aert works, perfect for slamming a warehouse.

Dynamic Dwarf
Precision is required for keeping an attractive and aggressive dynamic. Dynamic Dwarf is the proof. Elements comes and perfectly matches, to give a powerful and unifying rhythm

Chrondrite
Chrondrite creates a galloping and catchy atmosphere, all on a powerful rise. Aert gives here a track with deconstructed rhythms, mixed with fighting synths. An illusion of the random, in fact perfectly mastered.

Black Drop
Black Drop recipe is unique. Offensive and assertive kicks, puzzling bass and moreover, some finesse, expurgating any rusticity

Accretion
Accretion is the meeting between deconstructed industrial sounds and the perfect synths finesse. A complete haunting union, which illustrates the efficiency of simplicity.

Chrondrite (Noneoftheabove Remix)
Noneoftheabove revisits Chrondrite in a more club atmosphere. The artist keeps the galloping feelings by adding a certain anger, al in an atmosphere of self-forgetfulness.
