Title track „Exhale“ introduces a nervous soundscape through swelling sidechained 2-step drums in a dark, ominous ambiance accented with glitched out, eerie pads. CYRK take on the standout cut, infusing dance appeal through punchy drums and a stripped down bassline. On the flip side, „In Space“ offers a heady, straight to the point slice of peak time techno. Creating hypnotising sequences seems to be Trunkline’s forte, a trait easily recognized on „Groove Dat Beat“, the final track of the EP. Distorted yet angelic vocals provide a refreshing contrast to the overall raw feel, rounding off the release in a compelling manner.

“made of CONCRETE” henchman Toni Dextor steps down from his usual DJ act to take on a producer role for his first release on the label, joined by the long-serving Marco Bruno and techno legend S-File on remix service.

“Definition” showcases Dextor’s propensity towards winding, glitchinfused techno, in a construction that brings together functional, Russian bits of vocal with deep, spacious rhythms.

A known figure of contemporary techno, DJ and producer S-File channels a stripped back, hollowed down approach on his remix of “Definition”, in a rework that’s filled with gyrating soundwaves on a gritty tech backdrop.

“Upstairs” is the heavy-hitter of the release. A no-frills techno powertune, it commands attention from the first bar and keeps spirits high until the last beat. This one is a quintessential dancefloor tool, sure to get every body in sight moving.

Last one to the table is Marco Bruno’s reshape, taking the anthem into new territories with undulating sequences and added looming synths.

The title track ‘Hidden Truth’ channels around a low sunken groove, with minimal yet powerful, attention-grabbing elements. The buzzing lead synth pairs aptly with a toned down percussion, while a glistened out whistle loop becomes the main centerpiece and earworm that’s unmistakable.

‘Rebirth’ takes us on a different path of whirlwinding, dark techno. With a catchy bassline and sinuous lead, it captivates from the first bar and holds a tight grip, accented with serene jingles.

Kicking off the release in style, „Consciousness Outline“ lays down the groundwork for a solid slice of punchy techno. Featuring a minimal array of elements, which aptly intertwine instead of seeing new layers pile up, it’s a gradual build up of a powerful groove.

Hypercolour & Soma Records alum Roberto Clementi takes on remix duties, revamping „Consciousness Outline“ into a cavernous techno affair. Switching the main focus on the percussive leads proves a good venture, as it results into a piece with major dance appeal.

„Penny Drop“ dives in with a spacious loop, which keeps centre stage throughout the entire construction. Overall, it’s an airy track, with ample pads and a loose yet gripping melody.

„Neverending“ rounds off the pack in an atmospherical, upbeat fashion. Ascending synth pads make for an uplifting ambiance, all set on a backbone of electrifying percussion.
