WOMEN LIFE FREEDOM [DEES-WLF] is a special charity project curated by Deestricted & Aida Arko, including many Iranian artists, that will be released on the International Women’s Day, the 8th of March. It has been created to collect money for WOMAN, LIFE, FREEDOM ( http://www.womanlifefreedom.today) and most importantly to shed light on the current situation of Iran and raise awareness & support the Women in Iran from our scene!

“Woman, Life, Freedom” is a popular political Kurdish slogan and an association that supports global actions in solidarity with Iranian women & girls who are courageously and peacefully demonstrating for their fundamental human rights.

The use of the slogan “Woman, Life, Freedom” in Iran goes back to the series of protests following the death of Mahsa Amini. The slogan was first chanted at her funeral in Saqqez and then was heard in the initial protests in Sanandaj.

Iran is facing the first ever women revolution in its history, started by the death of Mahsa Amini on September 16th 2022. Ever since then people in Iran have shown tremendous acts of bravery risking their lives on the streets, fighting their violent dictator regime, seeking basic human rights and freedom.

By now the regime has responded to the protesters with pure cruelty. Thousands have been arrested or killed, disappeared having critical medical conditions, brutally tortured in jails and sentenced to the death penalty without any court cases or support from the international organizations!
A nation of 8 million citizens & over 4000 years of history needs our international support right now.

This is the goal of this special release that would be supported from a charity event will happen in Berlin 7th of March at ://about blank with help of amazing local and a massive representation of Iranian all FLINTA djs.
All profits will be donated to the organization helping women in Iran with the ongoing revolution.

Techno beats in favor of oppressed cultures, bring new light and freedom for all.

On November 25, 2022, Deestricted will release its third vinyl EP entitled “Chronicles Of Freedom” [DEES003], just less than a year after “Fighting In Ostkreuz” [DEES002].

For this release Deestricted decided to turn away from hard techno, where previously the label direction was predominantly focused on, and to pay a passionate and intimate tribute to Georgian technoscape and its artists, who are shaping new boundaries in the contemporary electronic music
scene.

This diverse and stomping Techno mini-compilation includes 5 gems from Irakli, Boyd Schidt, Objector Trax & Lilith, Ly Sas and Petit Astronaute.
The title takes its inspiration from the iconic monument that overlooks the city of Tbilisi called “Chronicles of Georgia” and by the strong “will of fight” of Georgian people, led by the spirit of freedom, unity, love and friendship.

Why Georgia?
Because in its capital, techno is the soundtrack of social change; in a place where anti-homophobia rallies end in violence, underground clubs are emblems of tolerance and progress.
Over the last few years, Tbilisi has become a new hotbed for the underground dance scene. Its dance scene is more than a nostalgic trip back to the 1990s in Berlin that is regularly associated and compared together.
Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Georgia has lived through two wars and years of abject poverty. And yet, over time it nurtured a devoted underground of DJs and promoters that in the last few years, have flourished into something extraordinary.
Even more so because it represents such an exhilarating break from the past. 20 years ago Tbilisi barely had any electricity; today, it has one of the best scenes for electronic music in the world.
Just like in Berlin in the early ‘90s or the UK in the second summer of love, raves in Tbilisi have a social and political element that makes them something more than just a way of having fun. In Georgia, raving is a political act.

DEES003 translates these principles into frequencies warming the heart and taking the brain on a deep mystical journey made of cosmic synths, mesmerising sounds, driving bass-lines and syncopated rhythms chained with fast-paced percussions.
“Chronicles Of Freedom” blends different emotions that are a part of the techno culture of Tbilisi, giving them compactness and solidity that only wax can honour and inherit.

For all those who order their copy from our Bandcamp page, they will receive a copy enhanced with an illustration by the Georgian street artist Gagosh, who through his paintings and graffiti tells the feelings and contradictions of the whole country.

Giulio Urbini took care of the design, mastering was entrusted to Conor Dalton at Glowcast Audio Mastering, Berlin.

We decided to take an active position in support for Ukraine, fundraising for -Save Life UA- with a compilation released in a limited edition tape format, plus digital download code and stickers included.

“Protect The Sky” is the title and it has been inspired from Etapp Kyle’s words about the meaning of the colors of the Ukrainian flag, where the blue represents the wide blue sky and the yellow the wheat fields symbolizing respectively the Calm and the Joy which characterize the country. We stand for these values which cannot be afflicted or denied by nobody.

Deestricted is a club night born inside the walls of Griessmuehle, now evolved into a vinyl record label.

Deestricted wants to spread intensity, relentless pace, sharp and rowdy techno sounds. It is sweat, condensation on walls, weave of bodies.

For the first release Kozlov, WNDRLST and Umbraid joined us with our resident dj Elios.

Umbraid
Depicts hopes and fears of the millennial generation through fast techno, influenced by industrial techno and melancholic elements of trance creating a vision of a dystopian future. Theophile Langer as a composer for arts and multimedia collaborates with fashion designers, art performers and dancers. He is interested in digital and interactive arts and is currently working on an A/V LIVE based on algorithms that focus on sound analysis

WNDRLST
is a Rotterdam-born techno DJ & Producer based in Budapest, Hungary – still in his twenties with roots in dark, industrial music – the last few years have really seen his productions and DJ sets come to the forefront with his unique hard-hitting style unleashing thunderous sounds across every big warehouse space around the world. With several releases on his own label Occult Rhythms as well as further releases on NineTimesNine (999999999) and labels like Grounded, Otomo Trax and Industrial Philharmonics his music has gained continual support from the industries finest which has seen him quickly making name for himself in very little time.

KØZLØV
Florian Kozlowski launched KOZLOV. He was born in 1995 near Paris. Passionate about electronic sounds of all kinds since his adolescence, it does not take long to buy his equipment to mix and thus promote its attachment to music

Elios
Elia Savelli aka Elios was born in Italy 1990. He started and developed his skills with turntables around the rave scene in the metropolis of Rimini. He has always been fascinated by underground music which was the starting point to explore rough and hypnotic sounds about a decade ago. He officially became part of the Berlin-based party Deestricted, taking charge of the residency, three years ago.
