After new releases by Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell in April and Vinicius Honorio in May, James Ruskin welcomes back Kr!z with his third EP for Blueprint.

Kr!z has been at the forefront of techno for more than a decade. Influenced by the hypnotic and energetic sound helmed by veterans such as Jeff Mills, Steve Rachmad and James Ruskin, he gradually but steadily developed his own identity in the international techno scene. After making a name for himself as a skilled DJ in home country Belgium and the Netherlands, Kr!z launched Token Records in 2007. It has since been a leading outlet for heady, purist sounds. He rapidly established the label as a fixed value with a timeless and powerful sound and took it around the world with label nights on every continent.

After 12 years spent assiduously focused on curating the Token discography, showcasing artists he has nurtured and supported over this time, 2019 saw the release of his long awaited debut EP on Token. “Mantra” received high acclaim by both media and the scene’s key DJs. This continued in 2020, when he released the track “Scorpion’s Tail” on Voltage Imprint and “Malice” & “Imperative Needs” as part of a split EP with Pfirter on his MindTrip label. 2022 was his most prolific year to date with three full EPs seeing the light of day: “Neutrino EP” on James Ruskin’s Blueprint Records, “The Tunnel” on Setaoc Mass’ SK_eleven and “Atlantis” on his Token. In 2023 he released a follow up on Blueprint “Revelation”, a split EP with Steve Rachmad on Reclaim Your City and “Marbles” on Token.

Now, the Belgian DJ and producer returns to Blueprint with a new 4-tracker this summer, entitled “Horo EP”.

Almost a year on since his Blueprint Records debut, the London-based Brazilian, Vinicius Honorio delivers the follow-up to “Sem Rumo”.

With a storied history in DJing and producing, starting in Rio de Janeiro as a D&B selector before settling into London’s techno sphere, the Brazilian producer pens dark and dubby textures. Delivering releases on his own label, Liberta Records as well as the likes of Modularz, Mord, Token and of course, Blueprint he has displayed his penchant for trippy and foreboding techno whilst encapsulating the energy and passion that have come to be synonymous with his style. A style that also permeates his DJ sets which he’s taken around the globe.

“Ominous Music” features four hard-hitting Techno tracks characteristic of his style. Released 31 May on vinyl and digitally.

Lømsk’s Alexander Johansson and Mattias Fridell made their Blueprint Records debut at the start of last year with their “Geometriska Strukturer EP” (BP067). Now they’re back with a new four-tracker, “Marvatten EP”.

This Swedish duo have built an impressive reputation since their production debut in 2000 and have gone on to release music on labels including Audio Assault, Symbolism, H. Productions, ARMS, XXX Records, and of course James Ruskin’s Blueprint, as well as their own Lømsk label, which they launched in 2022.

On “Marvatten EP” they deliver four more solid Techno cuts that are primed for the dance floor, set for release 26 April on vinyl and digitally.

Dustin Zahn returns to James Ruskin’s label with the follow-up to his 2021 Blueprint debut “Hand Over Control” (BP061). “Temporary Vandalism EP” features four new Techno jams from the Enemy Records head.

Since 1998, Dustin Zahn’s work has put his career on a steady ascent. Along the way, he has gained years of experience and unrivalled musical diversity as both a producer and performer, earning him respect among techno and house legends, purists, and contemporary DJs. He performs regularly around the world and his DJ sets are much like his releases. “I like it dark enough for the boys, but groovy enough for the girls”, says Zahn. With a preference for marathon sets and his laid-back approach to life and music, he seamlessly traverses through various genres to create a unique, hypnotic vibe. As a producer, his releases on labels such as Drumcode, Rekids, CLR and his own Enemy Records have brought him international success. And his remixes for the likes of Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Green Velvet, Dubfire, Nic Fancuilli, Mark Broom, Joel Mull and more have helped catapult him into the collections of DJs everywhere.
