The original vinyl editions have a shorter version of “Personal Jesus”.

For the original 1990 UK release, there was a promotional sampler 12″ single, and a promotional box. The box was a 12″ by 12″ box set, which contained vinyl, cassette and CD pressings of the album.

For this UK release, a variety of other short-lived formats were released, including DCC (digital compact cassette) and Mini-Disc.

There are a few uncredited instrumental tracks (“interludes”) on the album. Between “Enjoy The Silence” and “Policy Of Truth”, the instrumental track is called “Interlude #2 – Crucified”. The second interlude on the album is the track between “Blue Dress” and “Clean”. It is called “Interlude #3”. Interlude #1 (“Mission Impossible”) is on “Music For The Masses”, and Interlude #4 is on “Songs Of Faith And Devotion”.

In 2006, the album was completely remastered, and released in two different formats (SACD + DVD, and LP in Europe, CD + DVD, and LP in North America). The SACD + DVD version featured the album in a remastered 5.1 surround sound presentation, on the SACD disc. The CD + DVD version featured the album in a remastered 5.1 surround sound presentation on the DVD disc. The CD and LP were remastered stereo audio. The US edition of the remastered CD was not a SACD. Only the European release was in SACD format. The US DVD is a standard DVD, not a specific DVD-Audio disc.

Berlin-based synth-wave band Dina Summer recently released their highly anticipated second album ‘Girls Gang’ via Iptamenos Discos. Donning a decadent sound described by Resident Advisor as “dark disco meets EBM”, Dina Summer is a collaborative project formed of electro-punk band Frittenbude member Kalipo and dark-disco DJ & producer duo Local Suicide.

Their previous work includes the critically acclaimed 2022 album “Rimini”, which offers a nostalgic dive into retro disco vibes, along with the 2021 EP “Who Am I” and 2024 EP “Hide & Seek”. They also contributed to Curses’ “Next Wave Acid Punx” compilation, participated in Purple Mag x radiooooo’s “2070” project, and performed at Reeperbahn Festival’s prestigious “Collide Session”.

Their new album is a versatile collection of 11 tracks that delve into themes such as empowerment, outsiderhood, impermanence, nostalgia, and relationships. While their debut album was characterized by its club-centric sound, drawing from Italo disco and ’90s electro influences, this new release explores a richer palette of new wave, post-punk, and synth-pop.

The sophomore longplayer is more song-oriented, often featuring real bass and guitar, and showcases a more vocal-driven performance from frontwoman Dina, incorporating more singing alongside her trademark spoken words. Yet, it retains the same catchy melodies Dina Summer is known for, offering both indie pop hymns and a few undeniable club anthems.

Now the trio are releasing a number of club versions, remixes by befriended artists such as the legendary DJ Hell, dark disco all-star Damon Jee, Italian stallion Phunkadelica & French singer/producer and film composer The Populists (aka Yan Wagner) before they are kicking off their extensive Europe tour!
