OMEN Recordings returns with its 64th release, welcoming Irish-born, Berlin-based artist SWARM INTELLIGENCE for his debut appearance on the label. Presented on vinyl, the release showcases his singular sonic vision—what OMEN describes as “broken cyberpunk ritual mechanical techno.” Complementing the original material are remixes from pioneering rhythmic noise duo ORPHX and OMEN label heads AXKAN and DUELLIST. Together, the release traverses crushing industrial textures, fractured rhythms, and driving passages of eerie uplift, while remaining firmly rooted in the broken industrial techno aesthetic that defines OMEN Recordings.

A1. “Inner Brilliance” immediately establishes the tone with rugged off beat kicks, towering saw wave pressure, and flashes of euphoric tension hidden beneath layers of distortion. SWARM INTELLIGENCE balances brutality with movement, creating a track that feels equally suited to smoke-filled warehouses.

A2. “Paraphysics” descends further into hostile territory, driven by violent screeching textures and mechanical intensity. Metallic tones rip through the mix as punishing percussion. The atmosphere is anxious and claustrophobic, capturing the spirit that has long defined SWARM INTELLIGENCE’s sound.

A3. “Propensity”, futuristic vocal fragments cut through corrosive synth work and squelching low-end movement, while shifting rhythmic structures constantly evolve beneath the surface. Alien electronics and unstable grooves collide throughout, giving the track a tense and unpredictable energy from beginning to end.

B1. For the first track on B-side, ORPHX brings decades of techno craftsmanship to “Inner Brilliance”, reshaping the original into a grooving reinterpretation infused with classic techno sensibilities. Long regarded as one of the defining names within the scene, the duo introduces rolling rhythmic warmth and fluid movement while preserving the darker emotional weight of the source material, resulting in a version that feels timeless.

B2. OMEN owners AXKAN & DUELLIST take on “Void That Binds” with a remix fueled by swarming intensity and heavyweight pressure. Their remix delivers a dense and punishing rework packed with feral energy while maintaining razor sharp control aimed squarely at peak time systems.

B3. Finally, SWARM INTELLIGENCE closes the release with the original version of “Void That Binds”, a driving and hypnotic work powered by swinging percussion, rolling momentum and deep mechanical tension. The track locks itself into a relentless groove while subtle rhythmic shifts and layered textures steadily build pressure throughout. Functioning as the final chapter of the EP, it leaves behind a lingering sense of movement and unease long after the needle lifts from the record.

BULAH makes his OMEN debut with “Under The Black Sun”, a four-track EP exploring shadowed atmospheres and driving techno functionality. We don’t usually release hypnotic techno—but these tracks were dark, intense, and uncompromising enough to make the cut. Each original by the Russian producer balances ritualistic momentum with raw club energy, layering percussive pressure and textured sound design to create a hypnotic, immersive flow.

The EP is complemented by two remixes that expand Bulah’s vision from distinct angles. German producer Irakli and label boss AXKAN reinterpret the material with unique intent—pushing it toward deeper, darker, and more confrontational territory while preserving its hypnotic core.
