It pulses and glows distantly. It eludes me, slides further away. There is an aurora just over the horizon, behind the peaks. I am in an open space, a plane expands on all sides. I stand on a plateau and the earth rises up before my eyes. Hardened lava or the metamorphosed oceanic floor thrusts upwards. Zenithal. Now I see: all matter is vibrating, always, but on a scale that wasn’t perceivable before. Lights resonate on the brink of my vision. Sound grows and I can no longer locate my body in space. My limbs expand, coalesce, mell with the air in a regular pulse. I radiate. If nature is an infinite sphere, then its center is everywhere, coinciding with me. Direction is irrelevant. I vacillate, I ascend a perpetually spiralling helix. I pace the strands and strains of existence. When I stand still the helix continues to unfurl beneath me. I evolve upwards. Particles click in and out of being. In here there’s no need for eyes.

What used to be my body is now only movement itself, a flow of sounds in fleeting waves. I amplify, refine, diffuse. In this space, nothing can be named. Individual forms no longer exist. All matter expands and contracts together. Breathes in and out. This is crystalline immersion. This is the realisation that a true void exists nowhere, not in nature nor in the mind.

As a DJ, Producer and independent promoter, Danny Isola now launches his own platform for full autonomy of his output and to further progress along the artistic path that he has been crafting over the past decade. The Isolatracks label focuses on pushing the boundaries of organic layering between textural sounds, forged over grounded track constructions. ”Isola”, meaning “Island” in Italian, hints at the inspiration taken from nature in order to finely weave tracks with organic integrity. For now Isolatracks’ focus lies with its founder and curator, following a vision of creating rhythmic pulsing sonic forms, balancing momentum and finesse. This is the new release by berlin based techno duo I/Y. the music is part of an interdisciplinary project between the international artist collective exc and I/Y which included an exhibition in a downstairs parking lot, the publication of the artistbook “pxrkxnglxt 2” together with the novel “raum in einem raum” by exc-co-founder eric keil and a short unmoved silent film for which I/Y did the soundtrack. This soundtrack now comes as an exclusive vinyl release along with an inlay artist edition, showing the dark scenery where the” film” takes action…
The artist book and the novel are published on rhein verlag and will also be distributed as a special edition together with the record at papierundgelb.de.

Vinyl comes with limited edition artwork by EXC Artist collective (high quality print).

This is the beginning of a new series for the label, which will probably showcase different collaborations with dolphins and artists from different fields.

EXC Artists collective: The impersonal figure »exc« observes and archives, artefacts created by modern culture and natural progression. This research is the soil for projects, presentations and publications in the complementary fields of arts and design, such as architecture, installation, music, photography, film and dance.
»Exc« is based in Düsseldorf, Berlin and New York. Dolphins control the moon. It’s quite far-fetched, but what if dolphins are indeed dangerous super intelligent creatures that created a secret base underwater from which they control a mercury-fueled spacecraft? From the Earth’s natural satellite, they can manipulate our minds with a special signal vastly known as the I/Y XXX sound wave. Think about it, question everything.

The Nursery’s seventh release sees another newcomer: it’s Violent. A truly promising DJ and producer from Poland, rapidly making a name for himself as a pusher of rough, breakbeat induced techno. Stressful Environment contributes to that persona. It is a fierce composition of peak time tracks, that at times hint towards industrial, while preserving a certain melancholy. It is largely this combination that makes these tracks complement each other so well. The muscular foundation gives them their power; an enlightening fragility keeps them from becoming mere stompers. With that, Violent has put together an impressive piece of contemporary techno that will most likely see the inside of many clubs in the months to come. The ‘Stressful Environment EP’ is bound to make the name Violent stick around for a while.
