Info:
The man behind Monolith, Eric Van Wonterghem is one of the most prolific and influential artists in Europe’s Industrial rhythmic noise and EBM scene. Initially releasing electro synth music or what could even be called proto EBM music as “Absolute Body Control” with Dirk Ivens all the way back in 1981 in Belgium. Eric & Dirk a few years later would both go on to form one of Europe’s most legendary EBM acts of all time “The Klinik” along with Marc Verhaegen and Sandy Nys.

Eric would depart Klinik after the second album and would form another well respected EBM project with Mario Vaerewijck called “Insekt” on legendary Belgian label KK Records. Enter the mid 90’s , Eric would go on to start a new project entitled Monolith. This a departure from his EBM signature and heading into the industrial rhythmic noise territory but with a nice mixture of gritty techno. During the same period Eric would also team up again with Dirk for “Sonar” , another killer rhythmic noise act a bit harder then Monolith.

Into the early 2000’s a very tight bond was formed between Eric and Sonic Groove’s Adam X. Sonic Groove would highlight Monolith’s cult classic rhythmic noise track, “Disco Buddah” on the various artists “Europa Power Electron Industries” EP back in 2004. With a big interest in industrial in the techno music scene in recent years it is more then fitting that Monolith finally debut’s in the techno scene with a proper release on Sonic Groove.

Info:
With a sprawling discography that can be traced as far back as 2005, the last few years have found the Providence-based noise artist Ren Schofield shifting his attention towards his Container guise with increasing vigour, delivering full-length albums for Spectrum Spools and I Just Live Here, as well as an acclaimed EP for Rabih Beaini’s much-lauded Morphine Records.

With Liberation Technologies having already exhibited the fiercely confrontational style of BMB, and coaxed an EP of skewed electronics out of Vessel for ‘Misery Is A Communicable Disease’, ‘Adhesive’ is a natural fit for the imprints burgeoning canon.

As uncompromising as you’d expect, the four tracks on offer display the work of a producer working intuitively with the machines he surrounds himself with, a relentless pulse ever present at the core of these abrasive workouts.

Info:
DJMREX are Douglas J McCarthy and Cyrusrex.

DJMREX was conceived and continues to evolve in Los Angeles, California. Writing and performing electronic music with vocals, some of which resemble songs. That is not necessarily their intention.

They seek to challenge the listener by primarily using analog modular synth systems, unique effects processing and sampling voice and sound both in the studio and for live performances. Creating complex textures, they have a strict aesthetic for their audio and visual representation.

They are releasing their first of a series of three EP’s in December 2013.

Info:
“Having performed in rock, pop and metal bands in past incarnations, we found it somehow to be unnecessarily complicated and decided to strip the sound to its bare essentials. As just two people, we are free to do whatever and whenever we want to.” – DUALESQUE © 2013

Turbo twin brothers, Manuel and Mario Unterhuber create a wall of hot club noise with fuzzed-out techno beats fused with synthesized vocals. With their fresh and raw sound, this underground duo is creating a significant stir on Berlin’s club circuit. The band has been very busy in the past remixing records for cult artists such as Yasmin Gate, Electrosexual, Näd Mika, Pierre Pascual, Dead Sexy and Local Suicide.

Now, Dualesque‘s debut single Uncomplicated is set to be released on digital format 10 January 2014 on Killerrrec accompanied with remixes from artists; David Carretta (Space Factory, Gigolo Records), Electrosexual (Killerrrec) and Kalif (Sugar Candy Mountain). In addition there will be a Christmas special of the Uncomplicated release, which includes a piano version with a children’s choir.

Catch the band at their release party 21 December at Fluxbau and don’t miss out on their digital pre-order of their single with remixes.
