UK-based Frankie Bromley arrives on Chris Liebing’s legendary CLR imprint with ‘Forgiveness EP’.
Arriving on the recently relaunched CLR, Bromley turns in four direct, no-nonsense tracks for one of Europe’s longest-running and most influential techno imprints.
Opening track ‘Spider’ sees the UK-based DJ/producer weave a web of dense, gritty atmospherics amongst trippy synth work and seismic drums before title cut ‘Forgiveness’ brings a wonky bassline, spacey percussion, and ghostly vocals to proceedings.
Shuffling percussion meets slowly modulating low-end in ‘Drama’, the track slowly winding through a constantly building arrangement, before ‘Mental Resistance’ provides the finalé, bringing down the pace and ticking all the boxes for a late-night trip, with sharp drums, dubbed-out FX, and machine-like hits closing out the EP.
Hailing from Manchester, Frankie Bromley has previously appeared on the likes of Codec 992, Øbskure, and more, with his music picking up support from some of techno’s biggest names including Radio Slave, Richie Hawtin, and of course, Chris Liebing.
