South African producer Deano debuts on Ben Sims’ Symbolism imprint with a five tracker entitled ‘Octagon EP’.

The ‘Octagon E.P.’ sees the Cape Town-based Knowledge Recordings owner, who has previously cropped up on GND and A.R.T.S., deliver his most accomplished work to date.

From the opening track, the aptly titled cadent banger ‘Heavyweight’, there’s a confident swagger across the whole of the ‘Octagon EP’. Whether focused on subtle, shifting elements of the title track or employing a denser, layered approach to his work like in the grunting ‘Semantics’, this is a producer who relishes crafting releases that flow from tough, raw sounds into otherworldly sonic depths.
