From Another Mind founders SHDW & Obscure Shape announce charity remix package featuring an array of rising talents with all proceeds doubled by the German duo and donated to Ärzte Ohne Grenzen (Médecins Sans Frontières aka Doctors Without Borders).
Opening the package, Anterist’s remix of SHDW & Obscure Shape’s ‘Die Weiße Rose’ rolls forward with cantering kicks, off-beat hats and murky synths, leading into Jay Clarke’s contrasting version with its chuggy bassline, piercing stabs and murky atmospherics – broken up by celestial breakdown at the midway point. Next, Leksom’s take on the same track is built upon gloomy sound design and features syncopated drums and oscillating effects.
STXRK then remixes ‘Gesang Der Toten Dinge’ to create a relentless groove courtesy of precision kicks, delayed notes and tantalising arps. Finally, the package concludes with a curveball remix of ‘Die Weiße Rose’ from Underher who creates an epic number opening with a suspenseful and atmospheric intro, incorporating a brand new and original serene vocal from Eleonora, before shifting into a meandering rhythm – the result is a twisted and esoteric aesthetic.
