Press Info:
Italo-Iranian producer Sciahriar Tavakoli, commonly known as Sciahri, after releasing on renowned label as Ilian Tape, Mord, Opal Tapes/Black Opal and MANHIGH finally presents his first long playing record “Double-Edged”, and he does it on his own imprint, Sublunar Records.

The LP is an extended, carefully compiled exploration of the many facets of his signature sound, where emotional melodies collide with dense and rasping basslines.

Press Info:
Berlin based Lars Huismann makes an incredible debut on Soma with the Infinite Dimension EP. Lars has slowly but surely built his name in the Techno scene with a steady stream of release all marked with his signature hard hitting, futuristic sound. This 3 track release continues Lars’ run of form with devastating results.

Among The Blinds opens the EP with Lars not holding back as he hits the ground running at a furious pace. Syncopated synths power the rhythmic elements as his excellent drum programming and use of FX drive home the opening, thunderous track. Lars continues to up the tempo with Mercury once again displays great prowess with his excellently constructed rhythms that continually evolve through out the track. Pandora closes Lars’ debut EP on much the same intensity as the previous tracks. His powerful synth work takes control here as pulsing drum workouts help to really drive the track right onto the dance floor.

Press Info:
Intimate Silence return this August with an album from Vault Series founder Subjected featuring eight ambient cuts entitled ‘Opera Scenes’.

Subjected has been an important figure within Berlin’s techno community in the last ten years with his Vault Series and Subjected System imprints playing host to some of the genres most exciting names. His recent releases on ARTS, Stoor, Vault Series and self-titled label showcases his vast exploration into the realms of ambient soundscapes and atmospheric techno with a hint of post-industrial influence. ‘Opera Scenes’ sees Subjected serve up his third LP to date joining Silent-One’s Intimate Silence label following the likes of Głós, Thomas Hessler, KAS:ST, PVNV, Dold and Pär Grindvik.

‘Unhuman Error’ begins proceedings with humming drones, haunting notes and tension building reverberations before stunning arp progression balanced with an oscillating bassline and stirring pads take the focus in ‘Odysee of Hope’. The euphoric ambience continues through to ‘Odysee of Hope’ that deploys angelic synth tones, atmospheric swells and calming waves leading into the errie ‘No Man’s Land – Interlude’ with poignant modulations and heavenly leads.

‘Losing Our Sense’ is filled with exquisite compositions offering up growling bass waves and ethereal elements. ‘Ω Beginning of Everything’ then deploys dramatic synth sequences, sparse textures and piercing frequencies until tantalising harmonics fuse delicately with undulating emotiveness and revolving flutters and pulses in ‘The Origin of Life’. To finish, ‘Love Will Never End’ rounds things off with a drone-filled spectacle through tranquilising sound design, cinematic moods and compelling atmospheres.

Format:
vinyl & digital

Tracklist:
A1.
The Thunderdome

A2.
Sniffer Dogs

B1.
Messages

B2.
Sirens

Press Info:
Since the dawn of the Millennium, Claro Intelecto has beguiled listeners with his trademark brand of far-sighted electronic futurism – an atmospheric and otherworldly sound that reprocesses and repackages a multitude of influences drawn from three decades immersed in electronic music.

It seems fitting, then, that the latest Claro Intelecto outing – the first since the release of his Exhilirator album two years ago –was partly inspired by the formative years of the man behind the alias, Mark Stewart. Its’ title, “Forgotten Wasteland”, refers to the current state of the place where one of Manchester’s most influential underground clubs, the Thunderdome, once stood.

Stewart explores the impact and influence of this mythical club, and all that flowed from it, on EP opener “The Thunderdome”, a track whose industrial-strength beats, ragged acid lines, sci-fi bleeps and body-shaking sub-bass recall the raw and heavy techno music that emerged from the North of England in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. In contrast, the equally heavy and lo-fi “Sniffer Dogs” takes a more considered approach, with Stewart wrapping cinematic sweeps and dubbed-out electronics around a glitch-laden, Skam style experimental hip-hop groove.

On the flipside, Stewart begins with a far-sighted chunk of loose-limbed electro-techno fusion, “Messages”. Rhythmically punchy with the producer’s now familiar weighty analogue bass and raw riffs to the fore, the track’s fizzing melodic motifs and woozy pads recall hazy memories of sunrises spent stumbling between soundsystems at chilly free parties across the UK. The track’s increasing intensity is mirrored on EP closer “Sirens”, a druggy blast of rugged mid-tempo heaviness blessed with sun-bright blasts of synthesizer-driven bliss. It feels like a fittingly evocative conclusion to another standout outing from Claro Intelecto.
