Oxford based songwriter Charlie Cunningham has announced his eagerly anticipated debut EP ‘Outside Things’ will be released on 17th November on 12” and digital download.

‘Outside Things’ beautifully captures his sound, music that has won him early support from the likes of Zane Lowe and earned the position of Blogger’s Choice 2014 at BBC Radio 1. Written on nylon-stringed guitar, he combines heartfelt lyrics with a rhythmic and percussive style – a style honed with two years in Seville. And with an EP containing some of the best acoustic tracks you will hear this year, he is set for a run of UK & Europe live dates with King Creosote and Mighty Oaks in the coming months.

The title track is written from the perspective of a newly born baby, longing for the security of its mother, ‘Outside Things’ exposes a tenderness and sense of longing that runs throughout the four tracks. His songs, laden with delicate flourishes and intricate melodic turns and moments of stark introspection, feel both expansive and intimate. His vocals and lyrics feel immediate and familiar but reward further listening with a deeper understanding of what his work is striving towards.

In conjunction with the release, Charlie Cunningham will be touring throughout the UK and Europe with King Creosote and Mighty Oaks, including a London show at Oslo in Hackney on Tuesday 25th November.
