Based in Nürnberg – Germany, Mouche is a club-focused label specialising in the more low-slung strains of Techno. Previous releases from TM Shuffle, Ivano Tetelepta, and Chris Carrier share reduced and effective qualities, and the next addition to the label – the 2nd release from Ittara – follows suit. ‘Peace Of Mind’ is a single backed up with a sophisticated remix from Markus Suckut.
The title track is a raw, upfront groove that captures the energy of a late warm-up set. Slick polyrhythms are neatly braided together and propelled by bumping drums while percussion is deftly controlled in a manner that punctuates progress and repeatedly sends out calls to the dance floor.
Düsseldorf based Markus Suckut then follows up releases on Steve O’sullivan’s Mosiac, Cocoon Recordings and his own label SCKT with a dose of hypnotic, mechanical Dub Techno powered by icy reverbs, deep-set drums, and rippling synths which represent differing shades of the colour presented in the original.
