On Saturday, 22nd of October, HOSPITAL collective has the pleasure to host its first event for the season, at six d.o.g.s Gig Space, presenting Grounded Theory, one of the foremost and unique Techno Parties of Berlin with an explosive line up that includes some of the most important representatives of the contemporary techno scene.

On the decks of…the HOSPITAL will appear, for the first time in Greece, the legendary duet of Sandwell District (a.k.a Function & Regis), for an exclusive 3-hour live-set.
Together, the veteran of german techno scene Milton Bradley, presenting one of his rare live acts along with the mysterious man from Greece, Sawf, on his debut live and the co-founder and resident of G.T parties, Henning Baer.
At the same time, at both the Gig Space and The Bar of the space, HOSPITAL residents, including Sen.na & Slydex, Zorz and Koleon will complete the night.

Sandwell District
Sandwell District is, without doubt, THE underground Techno label of the moment. With support from all quarters they have not just blurred the boundaries of techno, but have dissolved them and re-built it in their own unique image… Function and Regis need little introduction, as stalwarts of the hugely influential Downwards Label they have been breaking down and re-arranging the D.N.A of conventional dance music for over a decade. Sandwell District however is very much it’s own animal and, it is a label of the here and now. As you would expect, Function and Regis’s approach to live/dj work is forward thinking and challenges convention … Digital and Analogue equipment is combined to create the maximum creative environment for both ARTISTS to feed off each other during a set.

Milton Bradley
Back in the late 80ies, the upcoming of Acid-house marked the beginning of his passion for this kind of music. First he was a record collector but in the end of 1991 he has started spinning records and since 1994 he played in different clubs.
After years of DJ-ing all around Germany he started, together with the Berlin DJ Zeal, the independent label DO NOT RESIST THE BEAT! to release own material.

Sawf
It was just over 2 years ago when Sawf’s first demo arrived at Perc Trax. The email contained little information and Sawf claimed it was the first time he had ever sent his music to a label. Sawf debuted his Flaws LP earlier this year on Perc Trax, 11 tracks of heavy rhythms, dense atmospherics and one man’s crystal clear vision of how techno should sound in 2011. The influences of Detroit electro and electronic body music are easily recognized in Sawf’s signature techno style that harks back to early UK industrialists such as Cabaret Voltaire and Throbbing Gristle

Henning Baer
Henning is one of the masterminds behind the well known Grounded Theory parties in Berlin that host on a regular basis some of the best underground acts.
His DJ sets are blended from reduced sound structures, kick-drums and raw noise sounds. Henning also collaborates with Milton Bradley in their latest music project called K209 and did their first release on their own K209 label.
