The 9th release of Lanthan.audio will present you the sound of the Los Angeles based duo Motionen.

The audio/visual project created by Carlos Matamoros (a.k.a Altrd Being) and Matt Salamone presents its solid reputations on dancefloors throughout the City of Angels with growing response and more shows to follow at the whole us ground and over it boundaries. Furthermore they founded their own label Ascetic Limited last year with a very promising path already.

Also we are glad to welcome back Claudio PRC for a interpretation of Motionens ‘Erudito’. Claudio is part of since the very first release and so a inherent part for Lanthan.audio.

When Shkedul came up with this 2-tracker, it really was a no-brainer! “Unthought Dream” starts the EP in full force combining energetic drums and echoed stabs, for a serious club banger. “Never think about it, thanks” goes a bit deeper, with a relentless kick-bassline combo. The hihats are keeping the energy high while moody pads in the background add to the haunting atmosphere.

Alongside these two gems, you will find a cinematic orchestration from Paris-based and close friend Boskøw, plus a deep and dubby variation from our mainstay Vâyu.

Introduction:
Debasser’s routes and influences into electronic music have not taken a conventional journey. Initially encouraged by Axel F, Tubular Bells and Paul Hardcastle, he continued through to Tiffany then Napalm Death onto John Cage passing at Prince before Spiral Tribe and then arriving at the bass fuelled sounds of DJ Rap and Joker Records. This bizarre combination resulted in an output that’s never quite slotted in a specific genre but always focused on unpretentious party tunes best accompanied with a pint of beer and a decent sound system, a style that coined the name ‘UK Bass’.

After putting out records on NovaMute, InputOutput Inc and Seed, he founded WIDE Records with long time collaborator (and brother) DJ Cutlass Supreme. They used the label to continue the push of UK Bass releasing music by themselves along with a sizeable roster including DJ Slugo, Egyptrixx, Murderbot and Paul Blackford.

Recently Debasser has been experimenting with some lower tempo, less club orientated concepts culminating in the release of The Nortiman EP, although a return to more cheeky tunes is already in progress.

‘Dispersion’ is an EP deep in style, talent and wonder. Embellishing the underground kudos of Berlin-based techno DJ and producer AVION, owner of the hotly tipped, and renowned imprint Crossing, Dispersion is an eclectic mix of cerebral, uncompromising and colorful techno. Title track ‘Dispersion’ is a gleaming display of spacious dancefloor beats; melancholic, yet industrial. ‘Real’ is clinical, functional techno, emulating some of The Wizard’s influential magic. ‘Inverse’ blends together a contemporary approach to sonic aptitudes, while remaining a strictly dancefloor and body orientated, while ‘Enidan’ a colorful moment of ambient beauty, plays the EP out.

It is the first release on Marcel Fengler’s regarded, techno imprint IMF in 2017. ‘Dispersion’ is an ambitious, and unique EP, from a true underground –and mysterious – talent. The EP’s style embodies the bright, hypnotic and pulsing music that has characterized his releases to date on Crossing. Talking about the release, Fengler states, “He got my attention after some pretty strong releases on his own imprint Crossing. I felt that this was something I didn’t have on my label, but still reflected the idea of IMF.”
