Press Info:
We are back with our second installment on Vitus’ Curse presenting you Erfurt-based newcomer Aethernal. Driven by his fascination for diverse combinations of pounding rhythms and harmonics he already released on labels like Aythekos, Obscure Sorrows and his co-founded and label Linie Neun together for his first vinyl release in 2020. Fully prepared for the revival of raving he now delivers four original tracks compiled into a massive trip through otherworldly ethereal spaces, mesmerizing soundscapes, and heavy technoid breaks inspired by the realms of Techno, Ambient, and Electro. With Lifka’s take on “Colliding Worlds” as a perfect addition to this selection Vitus’ Curse strikes again bringing along Aethernal and his utmost captivating story about passion and ecstasy – unique, atmospheric, and with incredible momentum.

Vergil
Perfectly introducing the release “Vergil” shows its full potential right from the beginning. With heavy drive, distinctive arps, and its pounding rhythm it leads the way until the break turns into an intense tapestry of fervidly crafted sounds. Resembling the Limbus of the divine act of Vergil it breaks down in ominous soundscapes and reemerges in a glorious musical outburst between heaven and hell – full of rave energy and without compromise.

Colliding Worlds
With excellent sound design Aethernal’s “Colliding Worlds” takes the audience along on an otherworldly journey from ordinariness into uncertainty. Ethereal textures, broken rhythms, and a variety of wonderfully layered arps and pads together with the characteristical baseline embedded in an eerie atmosphere result in an unparalleled tangible story full of strong emotions and unforeseen twists.

Resurrection
“Resurrection” stands in contrast to the dystopian and crushed atmosphere conveyed in this selection. By introducing a vigorously forceful baseline, strength is summoned to resurrect from the absorbing shoals of darkness. Distinct synthesizer melodies carry both, an emotional dichotomy of melancholic heaviness ascension demands and the vibrantly optimistic look towards joyful vigor.

The Temple
The last track brings a harmonious conclusion to the tension built up beforehand. Choral and melodic elements emanate lightness and vibrancy regained through the final metaphorical arrival in the light. Disunity and obscurity are abandoned and the drifting, smooth rhythm paired with celestial strains takes one to the peaceful, eurythmic temple where zest for life and high spirits are nurtured.

Colliding Worlds (Lifka Remix)
Letting “Colliding Worlds” appear in a whole new light Lifka provided the EP with a stunning remix of this universal weapon. Fast-paced, atmospherically trancy, and with an utmost intense twist towards the end it is made for special moments on every dancefloor. Prepare for an ecstatic and uplifting ride through the night lead by Lifka – energetic, driving, and unique.
