Reject and Nizax strike again with a new EP on the label “Shape of Void”. The “Ghost EP” offers driving, melodic and hypnotic techno in a 5 track album.

The two Italians once again offer a forward going and driving techno sound. The EP includes remixes by Berlin based artists Dotwav and Brothers Black.

Reject & Nizax, two Italian artists with different roots and influences. Reject has been in constant musical evolution for more than fifteen years, while Nizax grew up collecting vinyls. Through the various genres that the two followed, they created their own production stlye. You can hear these influences in their techno tracks.

Furthermore Rejects collaboration with Nizax leads him to confront and produce in perfect symbiosis despite the two different styles and influences. Nizax label manager on Variant Electronic active with different solo releases and also with Reject.

T Y is a talented producer from Madrid. He started producing with the young age of 16. His first releases on several labels followed soon. In 2016 T Y decided to concetrate on techno and had his first gigs in Poland and Canada.

“Sequences EP” by T Y. A compilation of 4 dj tools with remixes from Lars Huismann and Kloves. This compilation has touches from the industrial side with some distorted kicks and at the same time some tribal rhythms and acid touches with very energetic beats.

Sequence I Sequenced scheme with reminiscence to the industrial era and a synthetic touch that brakes the law of the organic.

Sequence II Is begging with a floating mixtures of atmospheres and textures and evolves into a very solid and tribal rhythm.

Sequence II (Lars Huismann Remix) Comes with massive bass and some nasty hypnotic tribal.

Sequence II (Kloves Remix) involved an acid sequence out of this space.

Sequence III is the aftermath to 4. An Acid Techno Track with a perfect hypnotic flow.

Sequence VI – a mixture between warehouse techno and acid techno. It is constructed by synthetic harsh sounds that matches with a rain of metallic sounds that makes this track really strong for the mix.

MMI is resident of Affair Berlin and the man behind Techno Scene Picks of the Month, a series of YouTube Videos that showcases the best releases to hit the scene.

His debut EP on Shapes of void, Compulsory Response presents 3 original tracks and 2 remixes.

The opening track, Gitana hints at MMI’s wider spectrum of sonic influences ranging from voice samples to guitars to drones and tribal drum rolls. Avoid & Mikadroid’s cut adds a touch of Goa trance to this Gitana while Relapso takes the track to a darker dance floor with full kicks and a racing atmosphere.

Doxa is more classic in its structure and use of instruments, a fat acid bass line that sometimes steals the protagonism of the spectral synths while percussion does its job well, pulling the drive. Vorticist explores a thin arpeggiator, undulating it with skill.

Showcasing his commitment to techno as an art, Compulsory Response EP is a respectable work that focuses on creativity and experimentation; it definitely plants the seed of curiosity to what MMI will bring next.
