Track 03 is a digital bonus track.

Info:
One of Figure’s central artists, Tokyo based A.Mochi is a leading proponent in a new wave of quality techno coming from Japan. After his defining moment with the “Primordial Soup” LP on Figure last year, the power-producer comes back with ‘C2M’, backed by a stunning remix from Gary Beck. Two cutting-edge techno tracks precision engineered for the worlds best soundsystems.

A.Mochi employs his trademark uncompromising bass and heavy percussion, along with spacey, droning tones and a haunting vocal sample that takes inspiration from the 90s rave days yet transports it straight into his apocalyptic future techno world.

Glasgow based Gary Beck lifts up the energy even further with his riotous remix that brings a big-room, festival vibe to the original’s monotonefunk. Heavy bass action, intricate builds and plenty of drama ensure this will work up a frenzy on the dancefloor in this standout mix.

A.Mochi also provides a pounding digital bonus track in the shape of “Unforgiven”. Immense rolling bass and tripping drum patterns urge forward in a perfect DJ tool full of drama.

Having established an relationship with Luke Slater’s Mote-Evolver imprint, Shifted has been releasing some of the freshest and highly acclaimed techno tracks at the moment. What ‘Control’ does bring, however, is an impressive follow-up release!

With his ‘Control EP’ Shifted’s newest production brings no further clues as to the identity of this highly-regarded yet anonymous producer. Having established an relationship with Luke Slater’s Mote-Evolver
imprint, Shifted has been releasing some of the freshest and highly acclaimed techno tracks at the moment. What ‘Control’ does bring, however, is an impressive follow-up release to the ‘Drained EP’ released on Mote-Evolver earlier this year.

Composed of four minimalist yet thumping tracks, Shifted’s Control release evokes an attitude towards techno that is raw and deep while also engaging. Beginning with ‘Control’, the EP starts out energetically with a tribal rhythm that mixes in with spaced-out effects and plenty of grooving underlying bass. ‘Structure’, takes a bassheavy turn that carries with it an intense and ominous feel throughout. It moves forward rapidly with pulsing basslines that carry a distinct and focused intensity.

The B-side, starting with ‘Resurface’, pounds hard and mixes in atmospheric tones as it constantly builds momentum while reaching its climax. ‘Drifting Over’ balances a deep mysterious driving attitude with a whole range of low sonic frequencies fine-tuned specifically for their resonance on any dance floor’s sound system.

Press Info :
Luke Slater’s Mote-Evolver has been busy keeping the techno scene on its toes with a string of releases that have proven the credentials of the label and challenged the status quo. High profile releases such as Planetary Assault Systems Deep Heet Vol. 2 and the Jerome Sydenham vs Function and James Ruskin remixes of GT have set the benchmark for a release schedule that has seamlessly encompassed music from Slater and his peers as well as the best of the new school producers who are evolving the techno sound for the next generation.

One such producer who could be attributed to either of these categories is Cari Lekebusch. Often credited with serving as inspiration to a generation of electronic music producers, the founder of “Swedish Techno” has earned a reputation as a diverse and evolutionary force within techno thanks to a steady stream of quality productions and so Mote-Evolver welcomes Cari back to the label for his second release with open arms.

Third Eye Vision, inspired by ideas of cerebral exploration, is one for the heads. Built around a building groove emitting a constant melodic hum; the effect is a disorientating hypnosis enhanced by psychedelic chimes and detuned reverbs.

Ana Kata, with its playful, off-centre styling, continues the EP?s theme of other worldliness. Warm and enticing yet stark and challenging at times, the fusion of contrasting elements from both sides of the palette creates an alluring harmony.

4th April 2011

Chilean born Dinky is a long standing resident at Panorama Bar. Her warm, technical house sound, underpinned by intricate rhythmic and harmonic elements is a much loved staple of the scene.

„Take Me“ is a wonderful meeting of thuggish house and soul-infused, feel-good energy. A surprise break leads to unexpected vibes and a brief encounter with some Rhodes keys action.

„Polvo“ is a psychedelic ride through more cerebral moments, possessing the power to truly lock you in. The extended passages of this breezy, garage-house hybrid just highlight Dinky’s instincts for dramatic timing.
