This is the new release by berlin based techno duo I/Y. the music is part of an interdisciplinary project between the international artist collective exc and I/Y which included an exhibition in a downstairs parking lot, the publication of the artistbook “pxrkxnglxt 2” together with the novel “raum in einem raum” by exc-co-founder eric keil and a short unmoved silent film for which I/Y did the soundtrack. This soundtrack now comes as an exclusive vinyl release along with an inlay artist edition, showing the dark scenery where the” film” takes action…
The artist book and the novel are published on rhein verlag and will also be distributed as a special edition together with the record at papierundgelb.de.

Vinyl comes with limited edition artwork by EXC Artist collective (high quality print).

This is the beginning of a new series for the label, which will probably showcase different collaborations with dolphins and artists from different fields.

EXC Artists collective: The impersonal figure »exc« observes and archives, artefacts created by modern culture and natural progression. This research is the soil for projects, presentations and publications in the complementary fields of arts and design, such as architecture, installation, music, photography, film and dance.
»Exc« is based in Düsseldorf, Berlin and New York. Dolphins control the moon. It’s quite far-fetched, but what if dolphins are indeed dangerous super intelligent creatures that created a secret base underwater from which they control a mercury-fueled spacecraft? From the Earth’s natural satellite, they can manipulate our minds with a special signal vastly known as the I/Y XXX sound wave. Think about it, question everything.

The Nursery’s seventh release sees another newcomer: it’s Violent. A truly promising DJ and producer from Poland, rapidly making a name for himself as a pusher of rough, breakbeat induced techno. Stressful Environment contributes to that persona. It is a fierce composition of peak time tracks, that at times hint towards industrial, while preserving a certain melancholy. It is largely this combination that makes these tracks complement each other so well. The muscular foundation gives them their power; an enlightening fragility keeps them from becoming mere stompers. With that, Violent has put together an impressive piece of contemporary techno that will most likely see the inside of many clubs in the months to come. The ‘Stressful Environment EP’ is bound to make the name Violent stick around for a while.

Brothers Black return to family label Voxnox Records in late 2017 with a six track vinyl and digital release.

A1 The duo kick off the release with the title track ‘Marianas’, a subaquatic track that digs deep into the sound spectrum with searing soundscapes and a pulsating resonant bass that will be felt through all those on the dance floor.

A2 Voxnox welcome Delsin records mainstays Artefakt to the Voxnox fold. The duo have taken the original ‘Marianas’ and built upon the deep foundations to create an ethereal and atmospheric trip over a complex groove that will lull the listener into a hypnosis.

B1 Building on the deep aesthetic of the EP, the second Brothers Black original ‘Pulling Teeth’ is a stomping club track that combines a singular looping lead with delicate, sparkling analog highs.

B2 Voxnox welcomes Invite of Invite’s Choice to the family. The veteran Dutch producer and DJ takes the original ‘Pulling Teeth’ to transform it into an exceptional, relentless club track that hints at the original whilst introducing newly formed and unique sounds.

C1 The third original ‘Step Back’ from the Brothers sees them team up with UK poet James Messiah on a left-field techno cut. Drawing heavily on their UK sound influences the two deliver a fresh dubstep-influenced techno track with James’ unique flow as the centrepiece.

C2 The last and final original, ‘Inescapable’, showcases an ambient edge to the Brothers’ productions. Combining deep, uplifting pads with delicate high end percussion to create an almost five minute emotional trip.
