LSD is the techno supergroup of Luke Slater, Steve Bicknell, David Sumner. They launch their new self-titled LSD imprint with a six track double pack of pure techno. Having released their first EP on Ostgut Ton back in 2017 followed by a series of live performances at festivals and venues across Europe including Berghain, Dekmantel Festival, Awakenings, Reaktor and Astropolis they return with their second drop of studio material.

Focussing on psychedelic aspects of techno while drawing on the unique rhythmic sensibilities of each of the three members, between them this group have all had a major impact on the global techno scene over the last two decades. Their new collaborative double pack carries on where the debut left off with six tracks of melodic and mind melting techno with surreal atmospheres and propulsive drum programming that takes you into the next dimension.

Continuing with our Abstract Weapons series, this time in its fourth installment, we give place to the third release of the year. Betting on textures and atmospheres, with ‘Clandestine’, Joaquin Ruiz starts this compilation and shows that a track can be mental and deep as well as rhythmic and dynamic, defending the sound that has caused so much passion in the scene during the last years. Secondly, the artist of the Polish scene, Szmer, gives us ‘Primal Origin’ a production in the purest repetitive style of the called, by many, Loop Techno and that maintains a firm and uncompromising proposal, allowing the arrangement to flow organically throughout its duration. After having remixed Sun Over Me in the tenth reference of the label, Vegim appears opening the B side of this release with ‘Confidence’, a more aggressive and muscular track where he maintains his distinctive stamp and character when it comes to creating. Finishing we have ‘Spektr’ by Axling, one of those cuts that wreaks havoc on the dance-floor with only 909 drums and a modular synth sequence, paying homage to the most classic and analog techno.

The young artist Willy Parker was born in the hessian city Giessen, near Frankfurt / Main.

Influenced by 90s Hip Hop and Trance beats during his teenager time he has also been attracted by the Frankfurt techno scene.

His love for drone, ethereal and dark-driving sounds raised rapidly and soon he started to produce his own beats. His joy in experimenting is just as big, which is why the genres Ambient and Experimental did not remain undiscovered for long.

Next to his job as a graphic designer, Willy and his partner created the art and music label SOPTIK.

The focus of the ambitious and striving label is the connection between different artists and their craftsmanship and to unite and present them as an overall project.
