Press Info:
Risa Taniguchi & Black Asteroid team up for ‘Acid Flesh EP’ on Chris Liebing’s CLR.

Risa Taniguchi is a Tokyo-based artist who has released on Second State, Kneaded Pains, Suara and more. Black Asteroid, aka Bryan Black, a former engineer for Prince, has appeared on CLR, Mute, Electric Deluxe, Kompakt and others and has soundtracked runway shows and collaborated with Rick Owens and Raf Simons. Teaming up for the first time together on Chris Liebing’s CLR label, the duo deliver three gritty, hard-hitting techno tracks.

Leading the release, ‘Acid Flesh’ brings squelching basslines, sizzling percussion, and airy vocal samples together for a rocking peak time track. ‘Compulsion’ brings dense atmospherics, propulsive low-end, and snappy snares for a tense and building affair before ‘Gunk’ closes the release with twisted, high-impact synths and sub-rattling drums combining for pure club pandemonium.

Press Info:
Delivering his first solo EP in over two years, Blue Hour releases ‘Origins’, the 21st release on Blue Hour Music. Following a succession of remixes, V/A contributions and an EP under his Tracing Xircles alias earlier this year, the Berlin-based producer and DJ shares four tracks diving deeper into his UK roots. Channelling breakbeat, techno and trance with the hallmarks of 90’s rave, ‘Origins’ builds upon the foundations created from his EP ‘Devotion’ in 2020. In this eclectic EP, Blue Hour explores several sonic palettes. The title track blends celestial chords with urgent drums and acid basslines, while uplifting vocals and subtle melodies wind through the track. ‘True’ dips more heavily into breakbeat territory with evolving and immersive pads, soaring strings and a twinkling synth-line. A dynamic fusion of fast-paced energy and soft touches. On the flip, ‘Emergence’ dances a delicate line between melancholia and elation, as dystopian chords pool with a squelchy acid sequence and a classic house vocal. ‘Searching’ closes on an ambient tip with spell-binding pads and an angelic melody, conveying a bright side to Blue Hour’s aesthetic, akin to ‘Origins’ as a whole.

Press Info:
Planetary Assault Systems revisits ‘In From The Night’ with edits and a remix from Adam Beyer and Wehbba

Planetary Assault Systems is one of UK techno veteran Luke Slater’s most enduring aliases, a project focused on forward-thinking techno with maximum cerebral impact. ‘In From The Night’ came out in 1993 as part of the ‘Planetary Funk Vol 1 EP’ on Peacefrog and has remained an underground favourite since.

Here on his own Mote-Evolver label, Slater revisits the track with a fresh perspective across two edits and an interpretation from Drumcode’s Adam Beyer and celebrated Brazilian DJ/producer Webbha. The techno titans team up to deliver a remix with thunderous energy as tense synths patterns loop, evolve, and grow ever more edgy as the track unfolds throughout.

On the flip, the first ‘P.A.S. Edit’ is a potent touch-up that finds pounding drums overlaid with raw and textural synth patterns alongside occasional crashing claps and a rising sense of dark cosmic energy. The ‘P.A.S. Live Edit’ unfolds in broken patterns and reverberates with menace as more searing synth lines fire across the dance floor.
