Berlin legends, T.Raumschmiere and Housemeister, have teamed up for their new release, ‘Samstag Nacht’, under their new collaborative project, T.Raumhouse. This new artistic duo stems from a friendship that spiralled over decades. They toured together from the 2000s and now aim to bring the 2000s nightlife back to Berlin. This new release encapsulates the 2000s through pulsating basslines, unearthly percussive samples, and signature vocoder vocals. ‘Samstag Nacht’ feels like a combination of retro, and spacey futuristic electro. The drums are gritty, and an element of underground punk lies within the track as the pace builds throughout. Supporting the track, is a new music video, also written and produced by T.Raumhouse, which features Joy Tyson, Livia Etelka & Rafi Sinn.
One half of T.Raumhouse is T.Raumschmiere originally hailing from Heidelberg, Germany. He moved to Berlin in 1998, where he renamed himself after a list of William S. Burrough characters and began to take the Berlin electronic music scene by storm after drumming in various bands in his home town. His releases consist of a range of genres from punk, electronic, and rock ‘n’ roll to minimalistic and ambient. The artistic journey of T.Raumschmiere is vast and stems from all areas in life, which makes it difficult to pin him down to one style! His iconic track, ‘Monstertruckdriver’, which was released on NovaMute in 2003, took off and established him as one of the key figures of the early 2000s Electroclash scene. Currently he keeps himself busy with his bands Margot Erkner and st.raumen.
The other half of T.Raumhouse is the German producer, DJ & label owner, Housemeister, who moved to Berlin at a young age, and witnessed the rise of the techno industry throughout reunification. He produced over 50 vinyl releases and eight albums under a range of iconic labels such as Detroit Underground, Boysnoize Records, BPitch Control, and his own, AYCB. On top of producing and running a label, Housemeister also toured the world, playing his music in over 50 countries. Authenticity is a characteristic which comes with the work of Housemeister; his tracks possess flair and energy, rarely following guidelines.
After possessing an array of gritty, hardcore, and bustling dancefloors in and around Berlin throughout the ‘90s, Housemeister is currently working on his new album which will be released in September 2024.
‘Samstag Nacht’ will be released under the label Iptamenos Discos who compliment the artistic duo of T.Raumhouse’s through creativity, authenticity and inventiveness. The label, Iptamenos Discos, have been running since 2021 and were founded by the berlin-based duo Local Suicide. The labels music ranges between genres such as New Wave, dark disco, EBM, and techno, and examples of their releases fall under artists such as Boys’ Short, Dina Summer, Curses, Skelesys and Wiener Planquadrat.

Something of an unique talent, Luke Slater does not run with the pack. Shunning the obvious and adopting the different, Slater has forged an eclectic album of esoteric techno, chilling ambience and funk driven grooves. ‘Freek Funk’ is the album that so many have striven to make, an album that smashes the nuances and particulars of the techno genre into little pieces, rearranging them in a strange pattern to create a truly original album of polar opposites and polyrhythmic twists. ‘Freek Funk’ indeed.
A self-motivated individual, Slater stands alone, looking in on a scene he has helped to mould. Unconcerned with the vagaries of fashion, Luke is all the better for his almost isolationist position and is left to mould a rich and rewarding blend of sound that owes as much to his own frantic imagination as to the techno tradition.
Boasting an output as frenetic as the Dagenham Ford motor plant, Slater has progressed through a series of guises and labels at a rapid rate. From his newly forged relationship with NovaMute, Luke has etched out an album, ‘Freek Funk’, that is the perfect remedy for techno’s current painting-by-numbers attitude. Seemingly never content nor happy with its course, the album progresses, twisting and turning and spitting out warped takes on familiar themes. Simply passing it off as another techno album would be absurd. Luke Slater has much more to offer.
‘Freek Funk’ sees the ascension of a prodigious talent to his rightful position. Opening with the funk-driven ‘Purely’, we are then transported to ‘Score One’, a darkly futuristic soundscape which melts into ‘Origin’ and ‘Score Two’, a bubbling mass of weird sounds and deep beats. The trip continues throughout the album with the warped relatives ‘Scores Three And Four’, popping up intermittently throughout proceedings with the stealth of a John Carpenter score. Electro gets a nod with ‘Are You There?’, with its rich string arrangements and soothing waves of bell chimes this is a ‘Tour De France’ for the 1990’s. ‘Bless Bless’ is a different creature altogether, a spacedusted silver surfer’s rare groove anthem. Onwards to ‘Time Dancer’, where James Brown meets Liz Frazer on a car production line – ethereal industrial funk if you like. And not to forget the stellar beauty of ‘Love’ that ranks alongside UR’s ‘Amazon’ as a track to break hearts at 40 beats and the otherworldly madness of ‘Walking The Line’, a jazz odyssey that conjures forth the Saturnalian spirit of Sun Ra.
An untouchable album by an untouchable talent. Luke Slater, the future starts here.

In 2023, Wellen.Brecher’s „Tierisch Verboten“ became some sort of hymn for the movement fighting for inclusion and diversity. „Was muss man denn machen, um dazuzugehören? – what do you have to do to be part of it?“ was the key question of the song.
With „KAPUTT“ the band seems to have reached a new level of self-confidence. They aren’t asking for directions anymore, they are taking their place, destroying everything that is and ever has been, making space for the rise of something new. Punk in its purest form – a true strike of liberation.
KAPUTT is going to be part of the album Wellen.Brecher are currently working on, which will be released at the end of 2024. The present single release includes remixes by the master of destruction The Horrorist himself, who turned the original into a 90s rave techno version.
Irish canon Senator tweaked and distorted the original until it came out as a mix bred of Major Rush and Green Velvet. Ricci d’Hoyerswerda worked the vocals into a hi-energy ghetto track. JP Toulouse – also member of the Ick Mach Welle crew – delivered an EDMish remix, that will work well on all bigger floors. Peaktime galore!
WELLEN.BRECHER is an inclusive band project, currently consisting of Werner Soyeaux aka Bläck Dävil, Uwe Locati aka DJ Locati, Dave Senan aka Senator and Hanni from the German punk band Pisse.
With an extensive hardware setup consisting of numerous drum machines, grooveboxes, synthesizers and a microphone, they create something that could be described as experimental rave techno: danceable, but unpredictable at the same time, presented with a large dose of fun and humour.

After new releases by Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell in April and Vinicius Honorio in May, James Ruskin welcomes back Kr!z with his third EP for Blueprint.
Kr!z has been at the forefront of techno for more than a decade. Influenced by the hypnotic and energetic sound helmed by veterans such as Jeff Mills, Steve Rachmad and James Ruskin, he gradually but steadily developed his own identity in the international techno scene. After making a name for himself as a skilled DJ in home country Belgium and the Netherlands, Kr!z launched Token Records in 2007. It has since been a leading outlet for heady, purist sounds. He rapidly established the label as a fixed value with a timeless and powerful sound and took it around the world with label nights on every continent.
After 12 years spent assiduously focused on curating the Token discography, showcasing artists he has nurtured and supported over this time, 2019 saw the release of his long awaited debut EP on Token. “Mantra” received high acclaim by both media and the scene’s key DJs. This continued in 2020, when he released the track “Scorpion’s Tail” on Voltage Imprint and “Malice” & “Imperative Needs” as part of a split EP with Pfirter on his MindTrip label. 2022 was his most prolific year to date with three full EPs seeing the light of day: “Neutrino EP” on James Ruskin’s Blueprint Records, “The Tunnel” on Setaoc Mass’ SK_eleven and “Atlantis” on his Token. In 2023 he released a follow up on Blueprint “Revelation”, a split EP with Steve Rachmad on Reclaim Your City and “Marbles” on Token.
Now, the Belgian DJ and producer returns to Blueprint with a new 4-tracker this summer, entitled “Horo EP”.
