Tadd Mullinix aka JAMES T. COTTON aka J.T.C. is one of our true heroes.

When we had our hands on the first records of his on Spectral we immediately fell in love with his daring approach to club music. Raw sketches of great ideas – not clean, not cool, but human and deficient, singular and alive. So, signing this artist for our label is a great honour to us, and we are proud to present SONIC CRIMINAL to you, an EP crossing over classic Detroit techno, deep house, jazz and electro.

Amazing!

J.T.C. released 3 albums and several 12”es on labels such as: Spectral, Nation, Creme Organization, Shaddock, M>O>S and many more. As DABRYE he released on Ghostly International and Good Boy records and as SK-1 on Rephlex, Rewind and Planet µ. Tadd Mullinix is also involved in the following projects: 2 AM/FM, The Saturn V, X2 and many more.

About Killekill:

KILLEKILL is a Berlin based record label and a crew promoting music events since 2008. The events at Berghain Kantine, Suicide Circus and Horst Krzbrg are focussing techno, house and electro – often with an experimental twist. A wide range of artists such as ABE DUQUE, SANDWELL DISTRICT, TIM EXILE, OTTO VON SCHIRACH, CRISTIAN VOGEL and many, many more have played for KILLEKILL nights.

The KILLEKILL label is being approached the same way as the events: challenging music of daring artists – with a focus on techno, house and electro but with an open ear for sounds off the beaten track. For most labels catalogue number 10 is an occasion to make something special. And so it is for KILLEKILL.

We have collected tracks from our regular label artists plus some guests who frequently play at our parties and therefore we consider being part of the KILLEKILL family. Besides resulting in an astonishing compilation, working on this project has been a great experience for us. All the great artists we work with and all the great music they gave us, made us realize that KILLEKILL has become what we always wanted it to be: a contact point for daring artists, a platform for good music of whatever style.

Following this idea our compilation features dark and epic experimental tracks by LAKKER, DADUB and BILL YOUNGMAN, electro stompers by DJ STINGRAY, RADIOACTIVE MAN and THE ALMOST PEOPLE, techno and acid beasts by FURFRIEND, J.T.C., CASSEGRAIN & TIN MAN, SNUFF CREW and NEIL LANDSTRUMM plus a breakbeat rave superhit by AFFIE YUSUF.

Last but not least the limited triple coloured-vinyl version comes with a beautiful poster of our amazing graphic designer and mate Flexn, and will only be available in our shop at http://www.killekill.com.

We are happy and proud to release some of his vintage material recorded in the years 1998-2000, raw and substantial.

With FUTURE ACID the A-Side features a bomb acid track recorded live at the legendary HD800 club in Mannheim, which displays the raw power of Alex’ live sets.

The B-Side features R-BYTE, a minimalistic Chicago-style stomper and MEM, a hood-like abstract and minimalistic techno piece.

For our next release, we have a very special cooperation to show off with: CASSEGRAIN & TIN MAN !

CASSEGRAIN are Greek-British producer Alex Tsiridis and Berlin/Vienna based composer and producer Hüseyin Evirgen. With a well developped sensitiveness the duo designs futuristic and dark techno soundscapes with a strong experimental touch.

TIN MAN is another outstanding artist and the second half of this collaboration. With his releases on Cheap Records, Global A and the Sähkö-sub label Keys of Life he proved well, how easily he can switch between strong classic acid and abstract, postmodern songwriting.

The tracks that resulted from this very special collaboration, are exactly what you might expect: An ideal and unique combination of modern dark techno as it comes from labels such as prologue or stroboscopic artefacts and classic acid. Some of them aim directly at the dancefloor, some come along rather dreamy and spaced out.

Perfect for KILLEKILL.

With catalogue number 006 another techno legend joins the KILLEKILL family.

NEIL LANDSTRUMM is with no doubt one of the big heroes of techno. With several albums and uncountable singles released on renowned labels like Tresor, Peacefrog and Planet µ, he has definitely written techno history. And this does not even count in his own label Scandinavia, which released music of high prolific techno artists such as Cristian Vogel, Tobias Schmidt, Adam X and many more.

Although having produced his first records in the early nineties NEIL LANDSTRUMM is in no way an old school producer! He has produced a few top notch dubstep records in the last years (released on planet µ) and is just now being one of the producers pushing the boundaries of the post dubstep UK Bass sound and is also being featured on the NONPLUS label being run by no one else but BODDIKA.

For KILLEKILL NEIL has delivered a handful of tracks which combine his typical dirty techno sound with the aesthetics of Dubstep and UK Bass. Extremely funky and with a big drop of acid they fit perfectly to the sound of our label.
