Press Info:
“Mind Religion” is the 7th release of the label, an Ep composed of 5 original tracks of futuristic, aggressive and post-apocalyptic Techno.

The duo NX1, for this release as individual artists (Samot and Surit), took over half vinyl each one for a very unique creation which was completed by two powerful remixes from Motive Power & Crystal Geometry.

It begins with the track “Energy Peaks” which is a highly kinetic creation and strongly textured piece. After that, comes the remix from Motive Power, a futuristic, post-apocalyptic and cinematic Techno piece, perfectly wrapped up with magnificent sound design. As third track we have the original “Mind Whispers”, breakbeat rhythms, with a touch of distorted rock, turn this track into a no-escape mental loop. We continue with “Civil Religion”, the most hypnotic side of the Ep, sharp and solid with nuances of psychedelia. “You call it Sanity”, is an unstoppable, functional and groundbreaking bomb, energy direct to the spine. And here it comes, Crystal Geometry remix, a brutal track that transports us to a rebellious, punk and dark environment – pure fire! Bonus track: “Raice Your Voice”: Dancefloor killer, banger, industrial and explosive, perfect closing for this powerful Ep.

With this release HEX Recordings confirms once again his dark, fatalistic and mercilessly vision of Techno, directly whistling the dystopian Pandemonium.

Press Info:
Barcelona arts collective HEX readies the final 2020 release from its HEX Recordings stable with Under Black Helmet’s ‘Lose Something To Gain Everything’ EP landing mid-December.

‘Lose Something to Gain Everything’ sees Lithuanian producer Under Black Helmet turn in four tracks ranging from the haunting, beatless ‘Running Barefoot’ to the more familiar territory of acerbic industrialism on the title track. Regardless of the bpms utilised across the EP, each piece on ‘Running Barefoot’ is joined by an ethereal melodic motif employed variously to either colour the whole track or subtly employed to create tense contrasts.

HEX founders Paolo Ferrara & Lorenzo Raganzini deliver a remix of ‘Running Barefoot’ that, during its six and a half minutes, flies through a dense, ever-evolving patchwork of brutalist techno that steadfastly refuses to stay in one place.

Rounding off an excellent year of releases for HEX Recordings, ‘Lose Something to Gain Everything’ by Under Black Helmet is released January 15th.

Press Info:
HEX Recordings founders Paolo Ferrara & Lorenzo Raganzini team up for ‘Breaking The Nirvana’ featuring remixes from AnD, Inhalt Der Nacht and SHDW & Obscure Shape as well as a selection of videos, a short documentary and booklet.

Helmed by Italian DJs and producers Paolo Ferrara and Lorenzo Raganzini, HEX launched in 2014 and quickly became a techno movement in Barcelona with events at venues and festivals like INPUT, Razzmatazz, Brunch and DGTL. It now has a devout following that stretches not only in Spain but throughout the world. Last year saw the launch of HEX Recordings with a debut release from Ferrara and Raganzini, followed by appearances from VII Circle, Endlec, Joton, Codex Empire, Samot and many more.

Featuring scintillating synths and rattling atmospherics, ‘Ora’ is a celestial cut that represents the moment of awakening. Moving into cantering drums, menacing stabs and squelchy effects, ‘The Liberation Of Your Beliefs’ then signifies the destruction of chains that limits a person’s mind. ‘I’m The Fire’ is dark, ominous and denotes realising your full potential by extinguishing your demons, before the release concludes with the more uplifting ‘L’Estasi Dell’Essere’, depicting the final step of spiritual elevation.

On remix duties, Inhalt Der Nacht’s take on ‘I’m The Fire’ begins with a suspenseful intro, leading into hammering kicks, spectral pads and industrial percussive sounds. AnD then reimagines ‘The Liberation Of Your Beliefs’ creating a high-octane version littered with squelchy acid while SHDW & Obscure Shape conclude the package with their ravey take, incorporating trancey synths, crashing cymbals and soaring chords.

Press Info:
PØLI and Lorenzo Raganzini’s HEX Recordings returns with its first Various Artists release, entitled ‘Deviant Misbehaviours Vol. 1’. Since its inception in March 2019, the imprint has been synonym with the most extreme spheres of the Techno scene, presenting a recurrent post-apocalyptic sound through the genre’s diverse sonic fields.

For its fourth release, the Barcelona based label welcomes 11 artists from 6 different countries for a 10 track compilation with some of the label’s mainstays, new players and old school legends.

A+W regular Codex Empire opens with squelchy bass and an EBM drive on ‘Primary Function’, while crunchy snares, distorted Moog leads and delayed hats take over in Samot’s ‘Night Shift’. Joton delivers a percussive, fantastic groove with a screeching lead synth in ‘Empty Town’.

Then, label backbone VII Circle thunders with sinister hardcore synths in the uncanny ‘Relentless Fight’, Georgian newcomer Downwell presents ‘Out From Your Pain’, a harsh and EBM/Industrial piece, to leave the French uprising talent Julian Muller take things into the bright side with the trancey synth line and fresh melody of ‘Stigmat’.

Founders PØLI and Lorenzo Raganzini return to represent the imprint after two releases, to deliver the punishing ‘Human Nature’, with relentless kicks, haunting voices and spacey stabs, while Surit brings in 909-like percussions and destroyer leads on ‘Broken Flags’.

‘Thief Of Joy’ from the Greek artist Jerm rounds things up with thumping old school bass, to leave the newcomer Dahlia close proceedings with the emotional, EBM infused ‘Lost In Everett’s Realities’.

Expect high-octane, merciless tones on this hard pounding and raving Techno compilation.

Press Info:
Mord Records’ Endlec joins Pøli and Lorenzo Raganzini’s HEX Recordings with a hard hitting techno release, entitled ‘Under Brutal Law’.

Since 2014 Greek artist Endlec has quickly become one of the mainstays within the sonic field of industrially raw, driving techno with previous releases on Analogue, KR/LF Records and Bas Mooy’s label Mord. Having performed at the likes of Tresor and REX Club, along with taking influences from early 90s European techno and Detroit’s pioneers, Endlec now lands his next release on Barcelona based imprint HEX Recordings showcasing his fierce, tough techno sound.

‘Use For Punishment’ opens with spacey stabs, echoing chimes, driving kicks and crunchy snares until ‘Class Of 89’’ doubles up the percussion for a dark throbbing effect along with rushing rides, descending synths and rhythmic vocal hits. ‘Concrete Destroyer’ then thunders with a moody sound floor, cutting hihats and firing risers before ‘Rage Tester’ and ‘Who Ya Gonna Kill’ close proceedings with rattling, syncopated cymbals, haunting voices, thumping bass and electronically charging energy.
