Press Info:
Klint returns to CLR with the ‘Kaos Temple’ EP. It follows up his ‘Immersive Culture’ EP earlier this year and lands late July.

French DJ and producer Klint follows up his ‘Immersive Culture’ EP on Chris Liebing’s CLR with the ‘Kaos Temple’ two-tracker. After having made his debut with the Klint project in 2021, he has made a significant impact in the Techno scene already, with an impressive list of releases on labels like Planet Rhythm, RSPX, Truncate and many more, as well as support from artists like Rodhad, Blawan, and Dave Clarke.

Klint’s ‘Kaos Temple’ on CLR boasts tumbling techno chords, building in anticipation as atmospheric sound effects dart about the mix above, subtle but sturdy rhythms guiding us through the track. ‘Dethroned’ continues, drum machines punching through as hard-hitting claps catch you off-guard. Its infectious low-end crawls below as cavernous synth melodies rear their head occasionally, making for tantalising drops perfect for mind-warping dancefloor frenzies.

Press Info:
Japan’s Risa Taniguchi continues her streak of releases on CLR with the ‘Wakes From Coma’ EP. The tastemaker returns a month after her last outing on Chris Liebing’s label, ‘So Loud’.

Risa Taniguchi’s ‘Wakes from Coma’ two-tracker on Chris Liebing’s CLR is a powerful piece of frenzied techno, with looming synth stabs and incendiary hi-hats piling on the pressure while its rolling beat powers on. The hard-hitting ‘Mental Rut’ ups the stakes next with distorted walls of noise, hammering kicks, and swirling synth textures that obscure the chopped-up vocal stabs. It’s the sound of pure and brilliant dancefloor madness.

The Tokyo-based Risa Taniguchi last appeared on CLR in Spring with the ‘So Loud’ EP, which won support from artists like Dave Clarke, Kelly Lee Owens, and Luke Slater, following her first arrival on Liebing’s label in 2022 alongside Black Asteroid, the ‘Acid Flesh’ EP. At the forefront of the Japanese techno scene, Taniguchi’s music on labels like Second State and Kneaded Pains mixes dark, lo-fi sound, distorted textures, and slow-burning energy that always hits its mark.

Emission

Press Info:
Tokyo’s Risa Taniguchi returns to Chris Liebing’s CLR with the ‘So Loud’ EP. The two-track EP follows up a collaborative EP with Black Asteroid on the label in 2022.

Risa Taniguchi’s title track to her ‘So Loud’ EP on CLR is a brilliantly alluring, stripped-back workout built on thudding kicks. The twitchy synth motifs bring a foreboding atmosphere next to raw percussion, all elements creeping in intensity. The electrifying ‘Emission’ brings more nervous energy with fizzing synths layering in rich texture over clacking hits and rolling bass. There’s an unsettling sense of cosmic turbulence throughout this most stylish of tracks, making for a powerful and essential pair of cuts to lock the crowds in for a late-night trip.

At the forefront of the Japanese techno scene, Risa Taniguchi’s music on labels like Second State and Kneaded Pains mixes dark, lo-fi sound, distorted textures, and slow-burning energy that always hits its mark. She first arrived on Chris Liebing’s CLR in 2022 alongside Black Asteroid with the ‘Acid Flesh’ EP, which won the support of artists like Luke Slater, Blawan, Amelie Lens, and many more – once again excelling with her solo ‘So Loud’ EP this May.

From Light To Darkness

Press Info:
The Southern returns to CLR for the second Particle EP

After serving up the first part of this ‘The Particle’ EP this March, Italian techno tastemaker The Southern is back on CLR following releases on the likes of Truncate, On Edge Society and Kneaded Pains. His sound is infused with a great knowledge of 90s techno, but always looks to the future. For that reason, The Southern is an in-demand DJ who has played all over Europe and brings that knowledge of the dance floor to this latest drop of high-grade techno tools.

Up first is ‘From Light To Darkness’, an urgent and full-throttle head-wrecker with tightly coiled synth loops burrowing deep as the unrelenting drums and hits race along and lock you into a state of pure techno hypnosis. Then comes ‘Memories’, another high-octane and white-knuckle techno track with dubbed-out chords rippling through the mix as the steel-plated drums march on in a linear fashion.

Consciousness

Press Info:
The Southern returns to CLR with the bass-rattling part one of the ‘Particle’ EP.

Up first on The Southern’s ‘Particle EP 1’ on CLR is title track ‘Particle’, a potent cut featuring layers upon layers of distortion, with its rusty drums hammering beneath a barrage of synths. The excellent ‘Consciousness’ is no less intense, following on by pairing pulsing sonics and brain-frying acid with rolling grooves. It’s an arresting and dystopian sound that brings unreal energy to the dancefloor.

“It’s really one of the biggest tracks I have been playing for a while. It reminds me very much of Renato Cohen’s Pontape back in the day… same vibe… same energy…” – Chris Liebing

The Southern is no stranger to Chris Liebing’s CLR, returning for a second EP after 2023’s jackin’ ‘Crackin The Jack’ EP, alongside previous stints on the likes of Truncate, On Edge Society and Kneaded Pains. For ‘The Particle EP 1’, he goes down a more industrial techno route, dropping the first instalment of this two-part release in March, with the second part scheduled to drop late April.

The Southern ‘Particle EP 1’ releases via CLR 29th March 2024.
