Obscure bio-machinery conspiring against humanity, grinding relentlessly to collide with the rules and roles that reduce existence to a sterile binarism are animating ‘Phrentic Affliction’, an EP about industrial electronics that is structured consistently upon dark visions of claustrophobic sceneries that belong to a cacotopian reality. Steelworks caustic distortions shape the four original cuts orchestrating time disintegration and space collapse one hit after the other, as an unstoppable disease aiming to erase reality and frame new ways, enduring exhaustion to find exile from the pale constrictions of social assets.

This work moves on as a sequel to the ‘Synnecrosis’ album, approaching a fairly similar timber study from a slightly different perspective in order to add more to the core. Two meaningful artists are called to join the release as well, willing to expand even more this adventurous sonic exploration with their unique sounds matured over many passionate years of deep sonic research: Ken Karter, also mastering engineer and scientist behind the sound of Monolith Records, and Uncto, side project of Dominik Müller (in collaboration with Rafal Fürst).

ANGLETHEORY returns after a 4 year hiatus, further embracing melodies and gorgeous otherworldly textures with the new album “EXIT.” Being part of the Australian Alternative Electronic scene since 2004, “EXIT” is the 9th studio album from the electronic artist.

Written and recorded at a time when the world had become eerily quiet; a time when uncertainty seemed to be a part of the everyday. “EXIT” explores the spirit of change; both good and bad.

Lyrically at times aggressive and confused, while others are positive with definite purpose. ANGELTHEORY creator, Charles Fenech questions his personal beliefs, reflecting on loss and a world moving beyond his understanding. All the while remaining hopeful and lyrically heartfelt. They are all showcased in lush textures washing over hypnotic mid tempo pulsating rhythms and “sonic candy” synths.

“EXIT” is a polished collection of melodic and sonically mature material, which has already drawn the praise of his peers.

“EXIT” will be available from 26th August via Bandcamp, as a digital download, and a limited edition beautifully packaged gatefold glossy CD. This is the first release under the new moniker, and a much more intimate album then what fans normally are used to hearing.
Included are 3 other original songs, “May Saint Peter’s Gates Burn to the Ground” and “The Hand of God could not Smite me Down” (featuring Prophan), as well as 3 remixes of “My Sorrow Knows No Bounds, My Fury Hath No Equal” by Skelesys (Oraculo Records), Alessandro Nero (Kind Crime Records), and The Undertakers Tapes (Area Z Records). The EP releases officially on 4 August 2023 with X-IMG Records in Berlin, Germany.

“The single reflects heavily on past mistakes, nostalgia, love, loss, regrets, and longing. An attempt to re-conciliate with oneself and make some sort of peace, or put the pieces of the past together in a way that make some sort of sense. It’s intimate, very intimate, so for the video I stripped myself bare (literally) and we kept the decor to a minimum, I felt naked physically and emotionally.”
