On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of Crave Tapes, the Berlin based cassette label is releasing their third various artist compilation.
Out on December 6th, the compilation includes fourteen tracks from artists and friends around the globe.

This special compilation will mainly contain tracks by artists who have already released on Crave Tapes and are part of label family, but we also welcome new faces with the tenth release. As always, you can expect a blast of EBM and Italo body banger as well as a breeze of synthwave and rough postpunk cuts.

Crave Tapes is delighted to welcome Berlin based talent Zee Mon to the label family with his EP Kisses In The Dark.

The A-side takes you on a journey of self-reflection, through unpleasant emotions, pain and the struggle with your inner self, to finally let go. It tells a story of how music can have a profound positive impact on all of us and make us feel alive, teaching us that ultimately the only way to fight the darkness is through accepting it.

Oh, and there’s also something about a fight between Zee Mon and a ninja warrior.

The B-Side reveals our two main characters. A story of two people sharing passionate kisses on the dance floor unfolds: The night starts slow. As more and more people arrive, the dance floor is filling up. Two strangers catch each other’s eye – the atmosphere becomes electrifying. A provocative smile, getting closer, a moment of silence – eye to eye. Soft lips brush over skin – Kisses In The Dark.

Additionally, the B-Side contains two and outstanding and filthy good remixes by Mufti and Alen Skanner.

Starting this gloomy and cold season, Crave Tapes is back with another tape release.

We’re delighted to welcome Sugar Rody to the label family, the Tallinn based multitalent and big fan of the 80 & 90s era debuting with The Night EP.

The story start with the title song itself „The Night“, which is simply about being happy on your own and having a blast in nightlife.

„Voron“ is a shoutout to Brandon Lee’s character Eric Draven from the movie „The Crow“. A romantic vice in the night, appearing somewhere with a person, pushing to get into her heart but nothing happens. You get pushed away and left in coldness and ice.

The other two songs, „La Glace“ and „Uletayu“ continuing the story, about getting freezed being the crow of the night. Realizing that all is fucked up and you need to change your life, so you fly away from everything to nowhere and disappear into the darkness.

After three exciting and turbulent years, Crave Tapes is now releasing its sixth tape. The first split EP comes from Lorenzo Mancino from Berlin and the Hamburg based band Videotraum. For the A-side, Lorenzo contributes a quite melancholic track and stirs up the dark and gloomy autumn season in our hearts again – a particularly emotional song. Remixes with dancefloor vibes and clear potential for sweating come from Skelesys, XTR Human and sch_tsch. On the B-side, Videotraum sends us back to the 80s with two reissued and remastered tracks and a previously unreleased track. The cold sound of the two Hamburgers is unmistakable. Wounds are torn open with “Wehmut” and a certain world-weariness is expressed, whereas „Ventus“ has a more casual vibe. Quite diferent is „Ritual”, a song to roam the city, a black anthem for the night animals out there. A dancefloor killer in the form of a remix comes from Crave Tapes co-runner Unhealed.
