On the last cut, Jerome Sydenham gets back behind the splicing desk, breaks out the razor blades and deftly edits the Echoplex classic “Pitch Break”. The results is transcendent hypnotic techno bliss.

Nach einen Ausflug des Labelmanagers zum alljährlichen “ElektroStat”-Festival in Oslo ´2015,auf dessen Line-Up auch Deutsche Bank stand, war die Begeisterung nach der Live-Show entfacht und nicht mehr auszubremsen! Der Kontakt zum schwedischen Musiker & Tausendsassa Mats From, der sich hinter dem Projektnamen “Deutsche Bank” verbirgt wurde aufgebaut und man sich sehr schnell einig die Tracks auf eine CD bannen zu müssen, um das musikalische Potential noch mehr Hörern zugänglich zu machen, aber auch der Nachwelt im generellen zu erhalten!
Das musikalische Konzept hinter dem Projektnamen “Deutsche Bank”, ist schon eine Projektion von Mats From die Bezug nimmt auf & zu Deutschland, alle Songs haben einen deutschen Titel und schlagen quasi die Brücke von Visby / Gotland (der Heimat von Mats From) hinüber zu Deutschland oder sagen wir mal genauer nach Düsseldorf! Das vorliegende Album *Autopop* ist eines mit einer immensen Intensität, Strahlkraft und zugleich eine Hommage an die Gründer der elektronischen Musik aus Düsseldorf, dies ist vom ersten Sound an klar..
Mats From hat sich zum Glück für uns, als Label aber auch für alle Zuhörer & Fans,nicht auf das Kopieren bekannter Kraftwerk-Sounds eingelassen, sondern seinen Tracks eine eigene Klangfarbe/n geschenkt…auf dem Album starten wir mit “Unterwegs in meinem Saab”..und fahren hinein in die wohl kühlste aber auch coolste deutsche Stadt die Main-Metropole “Frankfurt am Main”, danach kommt ein Schwenker für die Sinne – der einen klar werden lässt, daß es noch mehr “Cities” gibt! Thematisch an Frühwerke von Kraftwerk angelehnt..die sich auch mit futuristischen Aussichten der Menschheit beschäftigt haben die nun schon schwierige Realität geworden sind, ob nun “Radioaktivität” und die zurückliegenden Katastrophen mit der Kernenergie oder die “Mensch-Maschine/n” in den Produktionshallen, hat sich Mats From auch diesen Thema angenommen mit dem Titel “Cüber Mensch”, der eine Kombination aus den Worten Cyber & Über-Mensch darstellt…und umschreibt dass auch im hier & jetzt, immer mehr von den Menschen erwartet wird…und dass viele eben zu Cüber Menschen mutieren!
Der Titel-Track des Albums ist jedoch “(don´t stop) Autopop” und nimmt eindeutig Bezug auf “Autobahn” von Kraftwerk, wenn man es so sehen & hören will! “Autopop” ist ein grandioser musikalischer Streich, und der geneigte Zuhörer / Liebhaber bekommt hier moderne Sounds in einen kühlen aber dennoch kraftvollen Gewand geliefert!
Für das Label *Electro-Shock-Records* ist der Künstler Mats From und sein musikalisches Projekt *Deutsche Bank*, das logische Pendant zum einstigen MUTE-Label Signing welches Daniel Miller mit der Band Komputer in England gemacht hat.

“From starting out in the ’90s delivering the sound of authentic Swedish techno, his musical journey took him through a variety of musical twists. Along the way he’s salvaged everything from hard techno to classic Detroit-inspired beats, down to a minimalistic approach as well as the work that defines his sound today: the dark, deep, industrial tones and rich, deep dubby flavours—with lots of erosion and a smattering of dirt.
