Press Info:
These four extended pieces weave millions of details in and out of their structure, rather like abstract sound paintings than anything resembling ‘tracks’ that could be easily tagged and shelved. For some old school Recognition followers, this contemplative album could be slightly disorienting, yet it definitely bears all Jacek’s usual trademarks: his obsession with minute detail, sense of depth, intense layering work and peculiar warmth. Above all, hypnotising and often unstable rhythm is the key ingredient of the record. All four sound trips, improvised and heavily edited in 2017 are going to be available with exclusive prints by graphic designer Agnieszka Dybowska.

Press Info:
KR/LF also known as Kill Ref Low Frequencies, is a label platform created by the Italian artist Kill Ref. With a mission to break new ground and share a love for a variety of sounds, since its inception in 2016 it has featured artist contributions from Oliver Rosemann, Endlec, Binny, Developer, Charlton, Coefficient, and Gotshell for example.

“Saturn Phases” is a 24 track compilation that has been split into 3 equal parts, each containing 8 tracks. Each part will be available on dubplate LP vinyl and also on Bandcamp, along with a limited edition mix CD version recorded by Kill Ref, the label boss himself.

This is only the fourth catalogue release for KR/LF, and the hugely ambitious project also comes with the backing from many talented artists. Oliver Deutschmann, Under Black Helmet, Ben Gibson, Patrik Skoog, Housemeister, Dez Williams, In Bad Hands (premiere of Mental Resonance new moniker), The Noisemaker, and Progression (UK) all appear on the tracklist, amongst many returning producers previously featured.

Variation is the key here, where the music incorporated ranges from techno to electro and everything in between. Tough, raw, gritty, analogue sounds with a modular feel, acid influence, aggression, and artistic precision across the board.

A masterful package that is set to not only make an impact, but become a seminal release of inspiration, showcasing what is achievable with a stern self belief and harnessing the moment.

this feature is about the second vinyl of three. Vinyl 1 is already featured (see “Related Releases”) … Vinyl 3 will be featured later

Press Info:
Seance is a London based Techno and Electronica label ran by Warren of The Clairvoyants, who many will recognise from their former show on Rinse FM. The high profile show featured guest mixes from people like Blawan to Roberto.

The show has since broken away from the Rinse brand to set up its own independent web based radio station called “Seance Radio” and it’s this new station that is directly linked to the label.

Having previously included music by Edit Select, Subjected, Hironori Takahashi, Flug, TWR72 and a rare appearance from Modern Heads aka Dino Sabatini & Gianluca Meloni, this is another EP of quality underground Techno.

The fifth Seance release is courtesy of Spanish artist David Sierra also known as David Att. Running the accomplished ATT Series label, he has made contributions elsewhere with remixes for Re:Axis’ Monocline Records and HD Substance’s SUB tl for example.

London based veteran Arnaud Le Texier heads up the highly respected Children of Tomorrow label, whilst seeing his music released on Sven Väth’s Cocoon, Joachim Spieth’s Affin, Marco Bailey’s MBR Limited and Christian Wünsch’s Tsunami Records to name but a few.

Pedro Martíns aka Drop-E from Spain completes the package. An upcoming producer who has already released on the likes of Labrynth, Naked Lunch, Darknet and PoleGroup sublabel AINE.

Title track “The Last Empire” is a slice of moody hypnosis aimed at the dancefloor with a chugging groove and subtle acid edge to the lead sound.

“Visions” has a lighter feel, using an organic looping structure it appears more like tool, but with plenty of progressions, it’s character is hidden in the depths from sweeps and sparing hi-hat combinations.

Aranud Le Texier’s remix spins “The Last Empire” into even more of a heady and hypnotic jam, with plenty of added tension, textures and atmospherics.

“White Light” is the first digital only track, bringing a new flavour with poignant drone notes riding over an uplifting rhythm. Electro pulses and obscure sound effects make this a slightly abstract piece, but with great dancefloor appeal.

Finishing off is Drop-E and his “White Light” rework, completely switching up the beat with a thundering punch of power, the new melodies are awkward and detuned yet completely original, making this a truly unique sonic journey.
