The third track ‘Dark patterns’ by DSTRD is a minimalistic groove monster with modular synth stabs and bleeps that will hit you right in your face. (Perc VIP Mix)

Press Info:
Originally released as part of Perc’s ‘Bitter Music’ album in 2017 ‘Look What Your Love Has Done To Me’ has gone from a vocal experiment to a certified classic and the biggest selling track in the history of the Perc Trax label.

Featuring vocals from UK electronic artist Gazelle Twin the track has grown in support organically, allowing it time to take on a life of its own, receiving plays from an across the board selection of the world’s biggest DJs whilst dominating festival sets in both 2017 and 2018. Now two years after its initial release it returns remixed and ready to take on the summer of 2019.

Taking on remix duties are Amelie Lens, one of the key original supporters of the track, I Hate Models, returning to Perc Trax immediately after his debut album dropped in June and Perc himself.

Across the remixes I Hate Models warps and distorts the famous vocal over a drawn out industrial soundscape, Amelie Lens adds a melodic touch to the original’s driving rhythm and Perc ramps up the energy and aggression, floating cuts of the original vocal over a hammering kick drum assault.

How Taming The Passion

Press Info:
Continuing the pursuit of making KAOS and essential label for the contemporary disc-jockey I opened the spectrum a little more with some newcomers on the label and a pioneering veteran.

Mighty D.Dan provides the direct Techno drive. I issue one of the biggest hits of Milimetric which never came on vinyl (I’m really looking forward to play this). On the Flip Copenhagen’s prodigal son and already well known for being trained to the floor by the KAOS followers, Schacke, delivers one of the freakiest tunes I’ve ever come across with. Hadone closes with his standard signature 140 rolling extatic melancholia.

4 songs that could definitely fit in an story-telling kind of set or in the most chaotic. A lot of chaos, I know.

Tracklist:
01.
Awareness

02.
Resurrection

03.
Absolution

Press Info:
Resurrection is a journey from the melodic melancholy of Awareness to the weird, acidy, cleansing, lines and chords of Resurrection to the powerful, aggressive but also liberating sound of Absolution. Each of the three tracks represents a state of mind.

Awareness of the mind is the state that one can achieve by going to solitude and focusing on nothing but the breath for three straight days. In this state, the mind becomes very sensitive, but also peaceful. This is the state when certain ultimate truths start coming up to the surface of the mind. One example is the realisation that there is an immense amount of suffering in the world, and there is no way to stop it from happening. The only thing one can do is accept it and live in a way as to cause as little suffering as possible to others and themselves.

Resurrection is where music and meditation meet. It is the realisation that life is a constant cycle and nothing is permanent. One can realise this truth by having a transcendental experience.

Absolution remains a dream for most people all throughout their lives. Life simply never resolves. But people dream and that is fine. In a world full of suffering people need to be able to enjoy themselves. The aggressive tones and driving rhythm of the track help induce a state of trance on the dancefloor.
