Our next release is coming closer !

We know that music might not be a crucial stake nowadays, and promoting new material might seem inappropriate, regarding the global breakdown we’re going through. Yet, we truly believe in the soothing virtues of the record we are about to release. This forthcoming LP is a soulful work stemming from the generous mind of Guido Camino, under the name Forest On Stasys. He is inspired by the spiritual aspects of tribal rites and the physical effects of soundscapes.

In a few seconds, the introduction takes you from the anonymous murmuring of a standard concourse hall to the distant source of a primitive silence : surrounded by voices, footsteps and public announcements, you fall in a crack and immediately find an inner balance. Soon you’re drowning in a vast melancholy, lulled by roaring pads and crackling chirps, rubbing notes and delayed artifacts.

Guido Camino’s expressive style makes Forest On Stasys a meaningful name : this album is significantly built like an immersion into the rival forces of a wild realm where the tension between growth and gravity finds its resolution in the reunion of light and shadow. All along the tracks, obscure volumes with glistening edges remind of daylight spawning through the trunks.

Immersed in these mighty bass pads outlined by distorted howls, you’re caught in a massive grid of organic forces. This ride will make you throb like an ancestral tree, stirred by radiant whirlwinds, amazed by the translucent oscillations of life cycles.

At some point of the journey, you will board for some astral explorations, as the synth waves become epic and sound like memories of an ancient space travel.

The last part of the record takes a vividly melodic direction, with floating arpeggios and sparkling chords, inviting you to land in a safe part of your soul, calm and relieved.

Completing the trilogy of releases in collusion with graphic artist Oliver Sperl, Belgian techno producer ED1999 chooses to finish on ORIGINAL SIN EP, a 4-track dark experiment of audio-visual harmony, complete with blasting industrial beats and doom- metal growls.

Original Sin EP hits you from the get-go with PANDEMONIUM, a track saturated with industrial reverbs and dark echoey vocals circulating around a central, elastic bass. PANDEMONIUM achieves a distinct energy, the anger and tension injected into the mix still coming through crisp and clear.

STRAIGHT OUTTA HELL follows up with a gloomy, dissonant piece with a thudding kick line pervading through a wall of metallic drones and distorted growling. The track emanates a bleak, nocturnal timbre, giving off a feeling of unfeeling cold and isolation.

The B-side opens with EVIL DISORDER, a cosmic, atmospheric take on the EP’s distinctly melancholic theme. Stuttering percs grate against the cold-steel sound of clashing metal structures to create a manic, alien sound accentuated by the roaring, tubular bassline rushing around in circles like a particle in the LHC.

THE FURNACE is the final track in the final instalment of this trilogy and serves up a twisted finale of harmonic robotic bass interwoven with a static, tension-inducing array of synthesised madness, creating an ominous obelisk of massive and minuscule movements. The track delivers one more guttural sonic blow before retreating back to the lonely pulsating winds on which the track began.

ORIGINAL SIN EP marks ED1999’s third audio-visual collaboration with Sperl, who handles the graphics and cover art to accompany the music. The pair worked in tight co-operation, taking great care in melding together their respective music and graphics into one conceptual form. The EP will be released on PORPAX Records, marking the label’s fourth entry onto the scene.
