The second installment on Leipzig based Weisse Elster is devoted to the more abstract spheres of electronic dance music, exploring a rather dark terrain. The EP thus contains a total of five driving, club-focused tracks that actively invite the audience to join in on a fully untethered journey through space and time. Not until the last frequencies have faded away do they return to this-worldly realms. The first four numbers of the release are Wice originals, encompassing a wide spectrum of techno music. Whilst differing in rhythm and tempo, the individual tracks are united by an unmistakable signature and an underlying mystical aura. A trippy and incredibly energetic remix by Peryl, who took Wice’s NOLADE and transformed it into a real dancefloor bomb, perfectly rounds off the overall concept.

Entourage Concept is back with a new release by the Berlin-based producer and DJ Black Mirror Park. Being a founding member of Sonntagsinstitut collective and having played at venues like ://about blank, Arena Club, Rummels Bucht and Mensch Meier, he is a familiar face in the Berlin scene. We are therefore all the more happy to have Black Mirror Park on board with the phenomenal EP titled »Golden Groove«. The release consists of three original tracks and a remix by the duo Antic Soul and will be released on March 4, 2022.

Sound-wise, the EP combines magical dub chords, fiery vocals, brute kicks and basslines as well as raw acid elements for a first-class floor-filling experience.

The eponymous track »Golden Groove« stands as an absolute character piece. It combines a strong kick drum with beautiful and uplifting chords and a DJ-friendly track structure that leaves a fair share of time for mixing.

Track number two, »It’s Not What It Sounds Like«, blends technoid elements with a punchy, house-leaning main groove. The vocals perfectly fit the rhythm of the track and the crispy stab chords up the game with a superb melodical twist.

»Thief«, the third track of the EP, involves repetitive chords stabs and a scathing acid line; a story told by protagonist and antagonist, the track is a refreshing hybrid of dub and acid, a combination that has not been heard of all too often.

The last track is a re-interpretation of the title track »Golden Groove«. The Duo Antic Soul sets sails for a crafty breakbeat experience, merging the chords of the original track with a serene, trance-influenced synth line.
