Nathaniel’s new Album is a flesh twister

As an ever-repeating cycle Crestfallen mark its return with an album by Nathaniel that highlights the electronic punk roots of the label.

Crashing beats, occult sythesizers, distorted guitars, wavy bass.
A gloomy eerie soundscape.

“Sadistic Criminal Fake Show” is a reprise of the formerly concept Dead By Overdose.

A sound manifesto that invites self-criticism and disillusionment, in a world full of tension, driven by the volume of numbers, but also full of hope for those who dare to go against the current.

Against cultural impoverishment.

02.

I Fall Apart
[feat. Flawless Issues]

Press Info:
Following his recent link-up with Artemas for an official remix of “i like the way you kiss me”, Norwegian vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer MRD has just announced that his new EP MISLED YOUTH will be out on November 20th via Mad Decent/Live From Earth. The news is accompanied by new single “honest times”, a danceable track bolstered by ethereal synths and a nostalgic vocal sample, and arrives ahead of MRD’s upcoming Australian and European tour, which kicks off in Sydney later this week on October 11th. “honest times” stamps the second outing from MISLED YOUTH after July post-punk club heater “fucking highschool people”. The EP marks MRD’s first project of 2024 following the release of 2023’s Løvehjerte, which was fronted by electronic, surf rock-tinged Narciss collab “Midsommar”.

Hailing from Oslo, MRD came of age in his city’s youth skate scene and cut his teeth playing in punk bands, taking influence from a wide array of artists like Prodigy, Pailhead, and Ministry. He views MISLED YOUTH, a project named for Jamie Thomas & Zero Skateboards’ iconic 1999 skate video of the same name, as an ode to those salad days — fusing the punk he grew up on with modern trance music. “I want people to be nostalgic and happy when they listen to this project — but I also want them to walk away from the experience thinking it’s unlike anything else out there,” he explains. “I want it to feel familiar, but from a different planet, too.”
