Today Lost Under Heaven unveil a brand new track and video. Watch the video for ‘I&I’, the first official music to be released since their recent signing to Mute, below.
LUH (which stands for Lost Under Heaven) is Ellery Roberts and Ebony Hoorn. Over the past two years, they have been releasing music, art, photography, film and manifestos into the world, including 2014’s ‘Unites’ video and the expansive ‘Lost Under Heaven’ music and artwork package at the end of last year.
Ellery’s name might be familiar as the frontman of WU LYF, whose raw and primal voice helped create a sound that shaped a new model for the untamed fury of youth. Ebony is an audio-visual artist based in Amsterdam, where the pair now live, and co-directed the new video with Florian Joahn.
The track was produced by The Haxan Cloak (known for his own genre-bending experimental compositions and work on Björk’s Vulnicura album) in 2015 on the remote island of Osea.

LUH veröffentlichen mit “I&I” das erste offizielle Stück, seit sie zuletzt bei Mute einen Plattenvertrag unterzeichnet haben.
LUH (das für Lost Under Heaven steht), sind Ellery Roberts und Ebony Hoorn. Übe einen Zeitraum von zwei Jahren veröffentlichten sie bereits gemeinsam Musik, Kunst, Fotografie, Filme und Manifeste, unter anderem das ?Unites?-Video und das ausladende “Lost Under Heaven”. Musik- und Kunstpaket zum Ende des letzten Jahres.
Ellery Roberts dürfte dem ein oder der anderen bekannt sein als Frontmann von WU LYF, der mit seiner rauen Stimme im Alleingang gewissermaßen eine neue Art der Lebensäußerung von Jugend erfand. Ebony Hoorn ist eine Amsterdamer Künstlerin, die im Bereich audiovisueller Medien arbeitet – in Amsterdam wohnt das Paar auch derzeit. Zusammen mit dem bildenden Künstler Florian Joahn hat sie das hier vorliegende Video gedreht.
Produziert wurde das Stück von Bobby Krlic alias The Haxan Cloak, der neben seinem eigenem genreüberschreitenden Drone- und Ambientwerk nicht zuletzt für Björk und Health gearbeitet hat.
