22 years ago Depeche Mode released their 4th and last single for the album “Songs Of Faith And Devotion” on Mute, “In Your Room”. The video was directed by long-term collaborator Anton Corbijn who reinterpreted elements of older videos and arrange them with some new stuff.
Introduction:
This is a special about New Order – the legendary Manchester band formed in 1980 by Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook & Stephen Morris after the tragic death of Ian Curtis and the end of Joy Division.
New Order combine(d) post-punk and synth-pop but also other electronic dance music like Acid House. So they got an important part of the British music scene of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.
They had several hits like “Bizzare Love Triangle”, “True Faith” and the club hit “Blue Monday”/”Blue Monday 88” which is still part of some DJ sets.
After Hooky’s abandoning New Order consists of Bernard Sumner, Gillian Gilbert, Stephen Morris, Tom Chapman and Phil Cunningham nowadays.
A few weeks ago New Order released a new album called “Music Complete” on the legendary indepedent label Mute and in a few days (11th November 2015) they will play a concert in Berlin so we want to celebrate it with this selection. This is also a start for a new feature – we will present you some playlist that we will put together for special topics.

New Order have announced full details for Tutti Frutti the latest single to be taken from Music Complete, out on 11 December 2015. Tutti Frutti, featuring Elly Jackson aka La Roux on guest vocals will include a host of remixes, alongside an extended 12” mix. Full details are below.
