Introduction:
From teenage years spent playing guitar in punk and indie bands, it was clear that Michael had a propensity for alternative musical culture and the divergent sonics that drive it. A gradual shift toward electronic music lead Michael to channel an enthusiasm for Techno into DJing, event management and most recently – label management.

Fast forward to the present and Michael now has 20 years of experience working as a now esteemed figure in Nürnberg’s musical milieu. His event ‘Kiss Klub’ is one of Rakete’s longest standing club nights and is essentially the core of his musical endeavours. In 2022, the project expanded to incorporate a label: Kias which was inaugurated by Ostgut’s Fiedel and will now continue to provide a platform for some of the many artists in the ever-expanding Kiss Klub family.

As a DJ, Michael weaves sets that are as moody and subtle as they are kinetic and driving. Deep and dark shades of Techno are consistently coloured with a touch of Dub while looming drones bring depth and character to his hypnotic selections. As a producer, Michael utilises his knowledge of musical theory garnered from piano playing as he builds the cogs that drive his sets; classically structured Techno that packs power and intrigue in equal measures.

Introduction:
Templeton ignited his DJ career at 15, evolving into a force within the underground scene. His sets pulse with a hypnotic fusion of industrial techno and electronica, reflecting his deep passion for sound. As the founder of Hypress Records, he consistently pushes boundaries, curating music that stands apart from the conventional.

His roots trace back to the early ‘90s in the autonomous centers of Thüringen, where Templeton’s love for electronic music grew from a blend of punk, rap, and the raw energy of acid, electro, and techno. This formative experience shaped his vision of how music and nightlife should unfold.

In Leipzig, Templeton has become a key figure, having spent over a decade contributing to the city’s music culture. His work includes releases with Mod.Civil on renowned labels like Ortloff, Ornaments, and Rotary Cocktails, as well as curating events at Distillery, IFZ, and Mjut. He’s also driven projects like HEET at Mjut Club and SENSORY at Elipamanoke.

After enduring a significant personal loss, Templeton has channeled his energy into a new project, JETSET, both as an event series and a DJ duo. This venture, alongside his established work with Hypress Records, where he releases music as Moton or Templeton, continues to showcase his versatility, featuring acts like Oliver Rosemann, Mørbeck, Swarm Intelligence, Thomas P. Heckmann and Irakli (Staub).

Templeton’s sets and productions are a relentless journey through electrifying Techno and Electro, making him a powerful presence on any stage.
