So let’s stop the ‘Human Traffic’ present on social networks. These networks occupy far too much space in relation to music. ‘Poison of Angels’ opens the EP, chopping between crisp percussion and a searing lead melody, fusing EBM with industrial aesthetics as per NƵM 99’s signature. On ‘Human Traffic’, the producer conjures a menacing atmosphere, layering a misty soundscape with bone-chilling vocals stitched between a spiky synthline. Staccato claps collide with belligerent drums on ‘Noisy Futures’, culminating in a blaze of bolshy haze. ‘Drone’ blends jagged snares with eerie pads, plunging into fierce, peak-time cut, rounding off NƵM 99’s productions a potent note.

Berlin-based Italian producer, DJ, and live artist Ireen Amnes adds a moody sheen to her remix of ‘Poison of Angels’ through sleek drums and a bleeped-out melody. Belgium’s Radical G remixes ‘Human Traffic’, offering a slow-burning take of the original, complemented by shadowy EBM elements. Co-founder of Fleisch Records, HALV DRØM wraps up the release with his remix of ‘Noisy Futur’. Here, the Australian artist creates an air of paranoia via an aerodynamic soundscape, stomping drums and a dash of noise. It’s a cerebral end to a thrilling, esoteric collection on House of Reptile.
