Press Info:
From Another Mind continues to establish itself as a vital contemporary Techno outlet with a fresh release entitled ‘Der Weg Des Kriegers EP’ from label founders SHDW & Obscure Shape.

This German pair hail from Stuttgart and share a unique vision in the studio. They have a no frills, straight up vibe that results in tracks designed for darkened spaces and serious crowds. As DJs they draw on the old and the new from acid, EBM and rave, and match the energy of their productions in their sets. After a big 2019 they keep up the pressure here and head into the new year in fine fashion.

First out of the blocks is the brilliant ‘Der Weg Des Kriegers’ with its hammering, high speed kicks and choppy percussive patterns. A distant, sombre siren draws you ever further in as the track rolls on relentlessly and grows ever more wild. Endgegner’ is an all-out frazzled techno rave with scraping hits and distorted kicks driving along and whipping crowds into a frenzy.

Picking up the pace is ‘Feuersturm’, five minutes of banging techno with arresting synths shooting out of the mix like lasers and sure to get hands in the air. Closing out this high impact trip is ‘Hinter Dem Horizont’ which bounces along on tightly programming and slamming drums, with a dancing synth sequence that adds just a little light to the darkness all around.

Press Info:
From Another Mind founders SHDW & Obscure Shape return to their imprint with four atmospheric cuts entitled ‘Die Zunge Des Todes’ EP.

Helmed by SHDW & Obscure Shape, From Another Mind has maintained its reputation as one of techno’s most exciting platforms since its launch in 2014. When not releasing on their own high quality label the duo continues to release music via respected imprints like Dynamic Reflection and Rekids.

They’re also in demand remixers having been invited by Phantasy to remix Daniel Avery ‘Projector’ and Boysnoize to remix Djedjotronic ‘Take Me Down’, not to mention Rekids for separate renditions of two legendary Radio Slave tracks, ‘Vision’ and ‘Grindhouse’. Together they share a paralleled vision for techno without setting any boundaries which is suitably reflected in all their releases and performances.

‘Die Zunge Des Todes’ kicks off with vast synth waves fluttering over the emphatic kicks and tense modulations giving off an energetic yet captivating atmosphere to begin. ‘Bisswunden’ tastefully delivers driving percussion, otherworldly oscillations and energetic melodies transcending the emotions into a hypnotic state before progressing into ‘Blick Des Bösen’ through clattering drum grooves pacing around haunting atmospheres. ‘Kein Entkommen’ finishes things off with a breakstinged beat, mystical tones and alleviating sound design.

Press Info:
From Another Mind founders Obscure Shape & SHDW return to Rekids with three massive techno tracks in ‘Der Sturm EP’ this October.

Marco Bläsi and Luigi Urban first appeared on Matt Edwards’ label two years ago with an unforgettable remix of Radio Slave’s ‘Vision’. Since then the pair have continued to helm their From Another Mind imprint, as well as returning to Rekids for their ‘Himmel Und Erde’ release, not to mention remix the seminal ‘Grindhouse’ alongside Slam. Joining the label again, the duo present three cavernous cuts highlighting why they’re considered such a key driving force behind Southern Germany’s techno scene.

Featuring their signature echoing kicks, ‘Der Sturm’ includes syncopated snares, scintillating pads and piercing stabs to forge a peaktime cut. ‘Zeit Des Erwachens’ is more of a roller with its undulating percussion and quivering bassline, leading into the effervescent ‘Tränen Der Sonne’ with its twisted arpeggios and rattling hats.

Press Info:
From Another Mind continues to establish itself as an essential label with a fantastic fifth release entitled ‘Die Augen Des Teufels’ from label bosses SHDW & Obscure Shape.

Marco Bläsi and Luigi Urban are main room techno talents who make no bones about the size of their sound. Classic techno, rave, EBM and acid all colour their grooves. In 2016 Groove Magazine chose them as “Newcomer of the Year”, while they have also released their ‘Himmel Und Erde EP’ on the mighty Rekids, as well as remixing the boss’s anthemic ‘Grindhouse’ in recent months.

Two years later, the duo now follow up ‘Die Weiße Rose’ – their last original release on From Another Mind – with four tracks that reflect the pair’s trademark versatility as producers and the sound they play as DJs.

Things open in monstrous fashion with the brilliant ‘Die Augen Des Teufels.’ Built on tightly programmed and unrelenting drums, it has a hypnotic synth line riding about the scales that locks in your mind while your feet march to the beat. Frazzled synths and icy hi hats add to the pressure and ensure this one makes a devastating effect. ‘Wächter Der Nacht’ is equally forceful, with hammering kick drums and minimal driving percussion joined by a brain frying acid lead synth line that will blow up any DJ set.

The flip maintains the release’s rave-spirit whilst taking things into a more melodic direction. Keeping up the high class pressure is ‘Die Prophezeiung’, which has hulking kicks leaning into a stiff wind as hugely texted synths rumble up top to bring real rawness and impact. This one stays relatively stripped back and builds atmosphere throughout before closer ‘Verlorene Seelen’ picks things up again with quick and slick drums, nimble chords and an irresistible sense of techno force that cannot fail to carry you away.
